Emily Lavielle, what a success story. I am happy for you. But I pitied the girlfriend that he left, most likely a rebound. I was a rebound for more than a year and I didn't know it until two months ago. That girl just turned colder by the day during lockdown. No quarrel, no hint, no proper goodbye, just didn't reply my test or answered my call. After lockdown, she refused to see meet up with me me, just said she was busy with work. Eventually, I found out she quietly went back to her ex, who ditched his wife during lockdown. How could a girl do that to me despite all the good times we spent together and deep intimacy we shared is still beyond me. I honestly don't think my no contact would ever work to get her back. I broke no contact when I was one month in, she texted me back the next day, just told me to take care of myself, that's all, as though we never had any relationship. Hurt like hell. Hey Rory, thanks for the great content, it really helps me and I appreciate it a lot. If I could make 2 suggestions. 1) Trust issues. What causes them and how to overcone them. I have mostly healed and moved on from my last relationship, but it seriously fucked up my ability to trust and rely on people. I'm now in constant "alert for red flags" mode. Obviously it's not healthy and prevents me from forming new deep connections, any tips? 2) What are the normal stages of a relationship and how long do they approximately last? In my last relationship, we rushed through the initial and honeymoon phase in 2 months and then got into a kinda Limbo state of arguing and making up for a year before everything went to shit. I'm aware that every relationship is different, but I'd appreciate having some points of orientation.

Honestly if you posted positive shit on social media they would see right through it depending on the situation. Probably better to completely disappear so that their curiosity goes way over the top since they have no idea what you're doing and arent on social media. But say if you do post pictures and you look good...it would make them feel more physically attracted to you but that wasn't the problem to begin with in most cases when actually in love. Afaik, making NC work better/faster is pretty much improving yourself as much as possible. As he said in the video. Do some trips, new hobbies, meet new people etc. You will start to get a hugely improved aura and image. Your ex will feel this when she reaches out/meets you. She wants you to be down, sad and destroyed. But boi have you become a jewel. A likeable, strong character. And at this point you start to wonder whether it's worth to get back. After all, sth went wrong. You could find someone better. That's at least where I'm currently at. I give getting back together a shot, but if it feels off or she cheats again, she won't hear from me ever again. Got enough people that make me feel happy. No need for a complicated relationship that might make everything worse

She’s taking 5 classes, work, other things, and she told me she’s been depressed for a while and like devoid of emotion. My advice to most of you especially if no contact is not an option, example is you have kids or about to have kids, do limited contact work on you constantly. Examples, gym, reflection on the relationship and what you did wrong work on those issues. My problem was I put too much in was inpatient and lost part of me along the way. With meditation self work I am a different person. No not back with my ex but we have a good relationship waiting for out new kid, I no longer get upset or angry when she test me, I am losing weight looking great. The growth is amazing. Point being even limited contact works if you can't go in to full no contact but no matter the rout you take work on you.

He said we’re incompatible but I feel he’s misinterpreting things since we’re long distance and mostly talked through text and he felt bad about I believe how we were communicating. Love Rory's effort and supportive videos. But the truth is no contact only woks to help you get better and move on, NOT to ever get them back. The only ones that come back are young or very young (in their early 20s). Finally, if the woman did the dumping, she's gone, and not coming back. None of this no contact stuff works on women to get them back. Sad truth.

I believe you are correct Steve-in-Toronto. If you are younger and most likely inexperienced in the dating and break up department, I think No Contact has a better chance of working on an individual. If it is a woman who did the dumping, and especially if she is older/more mature, I do believe that most likely she is gone and is not coming back

When a mature independent woman does the dumping there is no coming back. A woman with certain vital experience knows it gets better with time, and new more suitable people will always appear. Plus, to go through a break up at certain ages (biological clock ticking) implies more clarity, so as soon as they discovered certain unacceptable behaviours of yours (lies, cheating, dishonesty, weakness, addictions or similar), and based on their previous experiences, they shut that door forever. Many may even prefer to be alone that with a men with those traits. Good news is, NC at least will allow you to keep your dignity, and become the version of yourself she would not have ever dumped in first place. As times passes, not quite a sad truth, but the most effective lesson we could have had.
