Apart from us all being a little older, what are the main updates in this series compared to the “ what is the Gospel” from years back
@manny1up3 жыл бұрын
Remember The Gospel or good tidings has Old Testament precedent. the actual message of the Gospel is only for Zion a colloquial term for Israel established in Isaiah 61:1-3. so the disciple relays the gospel to the people intended in the book of Isaiah as opposed to physical Gentile who are void of all salvation and shall stand like servants waiting for their masters (Israelites) orders - Isaiah 61:4-5.

This is a good and thought provoking video. I have a question. You said there was a new covenant but not a new law. Why does Hebrews 7:12 say ' For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law'?

I'm surprised that you cannot see that since the cross the two sticks have become one. Eph 2:11f One new man, if it's true for the gentiles it has to be true for all. One new man has already happened. Further, how many times have you said yourself or heard from another -- "God showed me this" or "God taught me that". All of us today can easily point to God's handiwork in our lives. So it can also easily be seen that Jeremiah 31:34 has been happening and is even happening now. The writer of Hebrews in Chapter 8 references Jeremiah 31 and states those passages will occur in the renewed covenant, which we are now in through Jeshua. Clearly your end times eschatology has clouded your understanding of those passages from Jeremiah and Ezekiel.

Hello The gospel is the gospel of the kingdom! Jesus the Messiah suffered and died, God raised him from the dead and exalted him to his right hand! Jesus is going to return and set up the kingdom of God ON THE EARTH! God’s government ON THE EARTH! Believers will rule the nations with Jesus! The Messiah died for his people! God resurrected the Messiah! The Messiah will resurrect his people at his coming! They will rule the nations! The destiny of the Messiah and his people is to be ON THE EARTH! The renewed restored earth! God also dwelling with them! Rev 21 Matt 24 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. Jesus said the Father is the only true God! John 17 3 And this is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.

In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away. Hebrews 8:13 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; and having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Colossians 2:13-15 the Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation. But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. Hebrews 9:8-15 Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God, and knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law; and art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness, an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law. Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal? Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege? Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God? For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written. For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision. Romans 2:17-25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Matthew 23:23 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Galatians 5:16-18
@LightSeekers7773 жыл бұрын
So are you believing that a new covenant comes with an entirely new foundation, not of God but laid down by Paul? A whole new RELIGION set in rebellion against God's Laws? Matthew 23 CLEARLY says the Pharisees should have been doing those tithes, but not forgetting the "weightier" parts of God's Laws. Do you know "God gives His Spirit to those who OBEY Him (Acts 5:32)? The Flesh cannot submit to the Laws of God, if you have the Holy Spirit, it DOES SUBMIT to God's Laws (Romans 8:7). Are we to believe we are children of the Living God, who raises people from the dead (sin), and yet we can choose to DISOBEY God's Laws? Are we to believe we FOLLOW Christ, even if we don't FOLLOW any of the Laws, Feasts, Sabbaths etc... that He upheld and taught perfectly? Do you know Jesus rebukes the Pharisees for NOT obeying God's Laws? I think you are misunderstanding Paul's letters, many in his day believed he taught against God's Laws too.

@@LightSeekers777 I just posted scripture, said nothing about my beliefs. But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Hebrews 8:6-7 Jesus taught the Torah so nothing is against His laws, yet the levitical priesthood is no more because Jesus came under the line of Melchisedec not Aaron. The circumcision is a spiritual one of the heart rather than the fleshly. Likewise we don't have a temple cause His temple is now spiritual, in us. Neither is there anymore a need of sacrifices, and adhering carnal laws doesn't mean the same because of it. Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, Heaven is my throne, And earth is my footstool: What house will ye build me? saith the Lord: Or what is the place of my rest? Hath not my hand made all these things? Acts 7:48-50 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 The law is spiritual, and it's not about our keeping of the carnal aspects, not that God's statues aren't still to be kept, however Jesus explained what the law is truly about. For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. Romans 7:14 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Matthew 22:37-40 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. Matthew 23:27-28 God is love and the law is therefore founded upon the same, not about the carnal. You can keep the Sabbath and still end up in hell. Walking in the Spirit means walking in His love. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. James 1:27 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. Hosea 6:6 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Philippians 2:5-8

@@ellen_bui Sorry, but the scriptures you used were some of the same ones people TWIST to say "we are no longer under the law," which they interpret as "we are now allowed to do whatever is right in our OWN eyes." Or, "the Holy Spirit guides me and he ALLOWS me to break God's Torah." Not so, any man-centered thought, whether it be food or holiday that is not according to the scriptures and of the world is pagan worship. I agree people can believe they are saved through KEEPING the Law, just as some believe they are saved by saying a prayer, being baptized, circumcised, or speaking in tongues; but ONLY thru Yeshua's atoning sacrifice are we saved. It is through the washing of the water of His word that He sanctifies His bride if we are humble. People can only bear fruit if they ABODE in Christ, the WORD of God.
@LightSeekers7773 жыл бұрын
@@ellen_bui So do you agree, or disagree with 119 teaching? If you disagree, what do you think they got wrong? I am always interested to learn HOW people interpret the New Testament. I saw scripture in the New Testament the way I was taught to interpret it until I SAW contradictions. I havea Bible that cross-references Old Testament to New Testament scripture. What Christianity teaches, was not lining up, they were PURPOSELY DECEIVING people to disobey God's Laws and commandments, by saying it's all done away with. Kinda like Satan in the garden, "...you surely won't die." Now when Paul is read I see how he's misinterpreted because I have a better understanding of God's WORD. Jesus, Yeshua, IS the Living, breathing, perfect example of God's WORD, Laws, blessings, and curses, fully lived in human flesh. I think if most Christians today were confronted by Yeshua HIMSELF, face to face, they would call Him a name like Judaizer. He loved everyone who was open to His teaching, told them to "go and SIN (break Torah) NO MORE;" but most ignored, rejected, left, or even tried to kill Him. Psalm 119 shows that loving God's Laws IS loving God, His character, His image, His Truth; not creating our own. YHWH bless you, and keep you!

@@LightSeekers777 Amen, absolutely agree. The law is founded upon love. God's best for us, our love for Him and our neighbors. When it comes to this series I can only comment on this part cause I haven't watched the others, but this one sounds in my ears to be emphasising the carnal more than I'm comfortable with. Almost sounds like they think sacrifices and temple laws will return. I support neither Churchianity nor Hebrew roots. I don't believe the tablets and statues in place before the covenant are "done away with" (apart from sacrifice), yet I do not see it as a salvational issue if a Christian is decieved by such a doctrine and don't see that, but being unloving is. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, *he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven*: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:18-19 I don't think one is a "better Christian" (no such exist) based on whether or not the carnal aspects are being kept since i see the whole Bible as a love story. As we've been told to remain in His love, I don't believe this means loving the law but loving others. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. Matthew 25:44-46 Noticed Hebrew roots bring spiritual pride, and that I want to stay far away from. Also brings another gospel, as "coming to Torah" instead of Jesus. Walking in the Spirit is walking in love, and if we also heed to what He says we won't be contrary to the law. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Matthew 24:11-13 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. Revelation 2:4-5 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. Galatians 3:24-25 Meaning we will walk in the law anyway because we walk according to the Spirit. The law's purpose was to bring us to Christ. I don't see it fit to teach the keeping of the law to unbelievers since that only creates Pharisees. Christ crucified alone, the rest comes later. Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. 1 John 4:7-13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. 1 Corinthians 13:13 That's my foundation anyway. Shalom 💙

You sir are very deceptive and you need to have the Holy Spirit to show you truth. You read the bible but as a scholar and not one that has the spirit of the Lord. You for example you say after reading in Jer 29 v 11-14 that God requires us to "agree to follow his commandments" only then will he forgive us that is FALSE!. How in the world can you speak for God when that is requirement is not even in the text!. It sais when you CALL (seek me) upon me, & come and PRAY (spend sabbath time with me) to me, seek me (fast for me) with ALL your HEART (the sacrafice required) you shall find me & I will be found! It has 0 to do with commandments sir. In fact we cannot fulfill them unless we know Jesus Christ truly and walk by his example. Through Christ we are truly saved.
