What's hilarious is the fact that this entire opening scene might be riffed from A.A. Milne's "The House at Pooh Corner," when an entire chapter is dedicated to trying to find something Tigger likes to eat. He ends up liking extract of malt, after rejecting acorns, honey and thistles presented by Piglet, Pooh and Eeyore. It's exactly the same thing and I love it so much.
