Are the Chinese crazy? In a desert covering an area of 42,200 square kilometers, nearly 30,000 desert farmers have created an agricultural miracle that shocked the world through their hard work and wisdom. They transformed the stubborn desert into fertile farmland and planted nearly 4,000 acres of potatoes.
After five years of planting experiments, the yield of these potatoes per acre is now as high as 430 kilograms, and the total annual output has reached 1.7 million kilograms. Today, this achievement has attracted widespread attention from the international community. Agricultural experts from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and other places have come to this once barren desert, hoping to learn this technology.
So, how did China grow potatoes in the desert? Will this kind of sand control method be popularized in deserts in more countries in the future?

Am I missing something? 430kg an acre is scary bad. I just looked it up and they recommend 1600 pounds an acre of seed potatoes. If they planted the acre normally it;s like planting 10 potatoes and getting 5 back? They probably planted a few hundred kg of seed potatoes and got back the 430kg but that's not much food an acre. If you don;t know the topic do your research.
