!!!! CORRECTION !!!! After speaking with Luka Fabijancic (the driver), he informed us that the car had its GSX-R1000 Engine swapped for a Hayabusa GSX-R1300 engine. So now it is sporting a bit more power, although it also a bit heavier at 675Kg. The info boards in the video are not up to date this way. Our apologies to all our followers 🏁

Hard to tell, cause it's a bike engine, so it has the gearbox included inside the engine! Probably fwd, or they just slapped a bike chain to the axles, just like a bike would have it

@gassenchef This one's RWD. Not sure how final drive is achieved but it will use the original gearbox as you pointed out. Some set ups use chains and sprockets, usually with a differential that incorporates the drive sprocket. Some other set ups have the final drive which attaches directly to the output shaft of the bike where the drive sprocket would have originally fitted. No chains involved! Clever stuff for sure!

It would still lose in a race to the bike, so yea you are right. Sorta. Its only underpowered if you are comparing it to the bike. Bikes are stupid fast. less road friction ,less weight, more aerodynamic. my favorite bike engine swaps are when people put them in mini trucks, just sayin

Not underpowered as such as the car will just use the engine's high rev range. True it will be faster off the mark and through the gears as a bike but with 200bhp qnd only weighing 620kg it's definitely not underpowered!

I believe it's only to enhance quick comprehension of what users see in the videos, therefore a good title, otherwise we would see "hillclimb prototype based on Citroen C2", long, with too many words and harder to find with key words. Since this car keeps most of the look of a C2, it's just easier and quicker to say it's a C2, especially because who watches these videos for sure knows it's not a real C2, not even close to what the stock C2 is.

Just the PSA engines appear to be not that bad, that's why BMW buys the for their Minis. So, you being the master mechanic. Tell my if it is more difficult to upgrade the original 4 cylinder engine, with a turbo, upgraded fuel pump, exhaust system, custom motor management, possibly using open source software, maybe even changing transmission set up to adjust the ratio between before and after the gear box, if torc rings a bell... Or adding some mounting points to put in a motorcycle engine-gear box combi. I am super curious to learn from you my Massa. Thank you for your time already.
