I thought Ramos tried his best to take Salah Out of the match , I don't follow the game since it all changed and the mega money started. I still watch the likes of the F.A cup, League Cup, European Cup aka Champions league and the Euro's/and WC. I was looking forward to a good game but when Salah had to leave i wondered had Zinidane Zidane instructed his defenders to take him out they knew he'd be a problem and they saw that when Liverpool trashed City and beat Rome well. I Thought the F.A cup was bad ,Under Fergie Man Utd would have scored level ,they've lost that last few mins to score ability they were so great at under Fergie

lucky duck 67 no he doesn't they won the Premier league in 1981 and the champions league as well. This is considered their best squad of all time lol. This dude just a salty Liverpool fan who can't face the fact his team never became a world champ. Flamengo was an amazing squad. This was before Europe took all of South Americas talent, so Brazilian and Argentinian clubs were among some of the best, and easily on par with the Euro clubs. Zico is an all time great and 1981 he was so impressive that Pele even said he came close to surpassing him.

@@chrisbennett606 Issue with Brazil was not offense... they had plenty of that. Issue was the way the team was setup by Telê and the defense playing way over almost in the attack. That team was vulnerable to counters and had a terrible goalkeeper. Serginho was bad yes... but Telê was a very petty person and whoever didn't worship him he didn't bring along.

Big Match programme took the UK/GB T.V. rights. In regard to listening to the match "Live" you could have tuned into the B.B.C. World Service ... most people in our area tuned into B.B.C. radio merseyside who had it relayed via them.

Tavy@ flamengo just oozed class back then. That back heel from zico while the ball was still moving at speed as it was passesd to him then zico back heeled it to his team mate was just genius. I watched this game way back in 1981 when i was age 9 and i laughed in admiration when zico did that back heel. I was trying it the next day at school lol. A thinck a tried it at least 20 times, but couldnt do it as it came to me at speed as a pass. I stopped it first then i could do it but it just isnt as good. Its really hard to do. The timeing has to be spot on or you look a fool, as in you cant be a split second late or early, and i mean a split second.

Yes Brazil are the most successful footballing nation bar none but European teams even if the Brazilians stayed at home have players from all over Europe. Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Holland, England, Portugal as well as World Cup finalists Croatia and a very strong Belgium team all footballing power houses over the years. I am Flamengo support and was the first game I saw on tV here in Brazil. I do not like to trash Liverpool a fantastic team. The narrator was very nice as well. I do not agree that today our best players are in Europe and this is the reason our domestic football is weak. Actually, our local football is very bad, the talents are not like in the past. Tavy@ that pitch looked as if it hadnt seen water in years. You could see the dust coming up off it when a player fell or tackled, it was as if they were playing on a gravel all weather pitch, wich is horrible. Also known as red blaze. But how good were flamengo back then, they made liverpool look like an amature team. And that back heel at 7.13 from zico was pure class, and he did it while the ball was moving as it was passesd to him then he passesd it to another player with a back heel. Its really hard to do that, if your a split second late or early then you look daft. Its got to be perfect. Thats why you dont see it as much, but when some one does it its a joy to watch. A watched it 4 times there!

Not sure what you are saying. European sides won the WCUP in 1954, 1966, 1974, 1982, 1990, 1998, 2006, 2010, and 2014. Obviously Brazil have been consistently strong. No doubt Zico was one of the greats.......too bad he had injuries.

The Brazil side of 1982 was a great attacking side, but their defense was not up to the same standard. if you watch the game, Italy actually had a 4th goal wrongly denied for offside when the scorer was miles on side. The 1982 is rightly remembered, but as the best team not to win a world cup.
