I watched this game live. I remember hearing about these kids coming in so I wanted to see if they were any good. As good as duke was to see the fab five play them tough and almost beat them I remember thinking something big is going on here. It was an awesome ride those two years.

Ultimately this game was much closer than the rematch a few months down the road. However, when Michigan was up going into the half of the NC I thought about this game and was very worried. Great matchup and it felt like a changing of the guard moment in CBB, thanks for sharing!

The Duke-Michigan games at this time were all pretty interesting games! And Duke going undefeated against the Fab Five is always worth remembering.

@@bpet122 yeah duke also beat them in 94 when it was the fab 4 minus chris webber, and they beat them in michigan. the duke 91 team was better because of billy mccafrey, he was scoring 4 points a game at vanderbilt after he transferred there and left duke, this duke 92 team didnt have as much firepower on the outside without mccafrey.
