Hi Nick, I want to start off by saying thank you so much for all your videos. I've just started my sysadmin career and you've been a tremendous help to me. Quick question: Do we need to enable "Configure Automatic Updates" if we just want the updates to happen through WSUS? Or can we just enable "Specify intranet Microsoft update service location"?

Hi, Excellent tutorial. Thanks. Followed your instructions, but it doesn't show up in the list of applied group policy objects. tried gpupdate /force as well to no avail. Any idea? Should it be showing up on the server itself? I've "enforced" the gpo as well.

For client PC need to update it will update from WSUS server and my question is for client need to update so they need to logon administrator local PC or logon to domain user? As you know permission on domain user logon we can't install any application?

hi nick this tutorial is nice. I have some question is there any option to manually upload the ms patches in WSUS and then push it to the clients? for example just for security purpose we only choosing the specific patches or hot fix to be install to our environment and then after manually download and collect all the required patches is there any option yo upload this patches and then push it to the clients.

I am facing problem, endpoints are not detecting in WSUS computers groups. I have deployed wsus and wsus is not part of domain. Hi Iftequar Ahmed, thank you for the good question. Depending on your AD topology there could be multiple scenarios. Configuring the proper topology within Active Directory Sites and Services will allow authentication to take place even if one of the Domain Controllers is down.

If PDC role on primary server then user won't be able to login into the domain. In that scenario, If there is any hardware failure occured, U must seize FSMO role to any of the ADC
