Northwest Washington flooding issue is no joke, and has been there for decades. There must be a working solution

I'm with you there

There is really no solution to this you could put a temporary solution in, but you’re going to move the problem to another area

Simply raise the houses. They've done it all done the Southeast coast.

I know this is contained within a child's realm of Fantasy but has anyone consulted the High Elves? Even the Greenwood Elves could whisper horses (see Legolas and Arod at the Dead Mountain Door. Chapter 7.) But those Noldo...dude, they could change the climate. And without Disney magic, or Will Smith and lamp strokes. "Art undivorced from Reason", I believe were the words The Professor used. I know a few, I could inquire...

The San Juan Islands also saw unprecedented high water, water over roadways and up to houses. Low barometer, high winds and King tides synced up perfectly. A harbinger of future conditions?

I would say yes. It's an example of what's to come. We have a cabin in LaConner and would come to Birch Bay all the time, because it was such a great place to play in the water, shallow, warm and clean. I miss those days.

Fresh or salt water ? Salt water and cars don't mix.

So...I live in Birch Bay where this video was shot. The part that was the most frustrating is th lookie-lous that come out to see how deep the water is while driving thru it. Meamwhile their wake floods every car parked at their house, on that road. The part that pissed me off was that a lot of those vehicals where county trucks, that didn't stop and offer help and contractors in their trucks looking for potential work with zero consideration to those they are causing even more flooding damage to. Next time you decide to go looky-louing during a flood stop and think about those living thru it and how much more damage you may be causing.

I really hope this flooding doesn't fuck up my meditation this week. Also. Justin Trudeau doesn't care about BB People.

I bet no one's landscaping is salt water resistant even though this is Bayside property.. watch all the plants die.. the sea level rise will be exponential.. consider this the new norm.. either put your houses on floats and prep for the next ""King Tide "".. it affected us here in Hilo Hawaii as well.. a combo of high winds and surf as well as that King Tide.. we lost most of our shower trees downtown bay front due to the salt water inundating areas that normally don't see salt water.. I'm sure most of their landscaping is toast.. even their lawns.. anywho even one of my hometowns of laconner Washington was inundated.. I'm keeping tabs here in Hawaii thanks to today's technology.. thanks KZbin for showing me the world I can't physically see for myself in person.. even though they say "no news is good news" I still like to know what's going on in the world.. I got family and friends all over so it helps..
