You need anti-depressants” I don’t know why, even in 2023, doctors still don’t acknowledge perimenopause/menopause symptoms, or even try to investigate that as the root cause. All they want to do is give you habit forming medication so you’ll stop coming to see them so much. I’m so thankful for videos like these! I was mostly plant based for about 4 years. Just in the recent year I started having panic attacks. One thing I found that helped me, was adding omega-3s from fish oils. I was getting lots of plant omega-3s, but zero from fish oils. There is a difference. The omega-3s from fish oils contain DHA and EPA (I think that's correct) which help regulate the part of the brain where anxiety starts. It has helped me tremendously and I just wanted to pass along. I saw a registered dietitian and she confirmed what I was doing was very beneficial to alleviate the anxiety/panic attacks.

Something I have discovered, if you have shooting pains in your urethra, or pain/ulcers around your labia, or frequent urination with an urgency to go or inability to hold it, it could just be from oxalates. I had these issues and went to my GYN, she tested for herpes and wanted to do a uterine biopsy, also wanted to give me an IUD, I said no thanks! I read about oxalates causing problems for some people, especially people with gut health issues, so I cut back in high oxalate foods like tea, spinach, almonds. The problems went away! Now, whenever I eat higher oxalate foods, I will notice the issue start up again. Just something else to consider.

This is why I love videos like this one so much❤ I am getting a lot of chest pains. Just recently I talked to my doctor about it and asked her when should I consider a chest pain an emergency? She said just listen to your body and don't doubt yourself. If you have to go to the emergency room a lot, don't feel like you're over reacting or feel like you are being a burden. Just go. I think about your videos a lot. They are very helpful. Still I struggle with stress and I learned that stress can raise your blood sugar. That alone can cause problems. How in the world can I go through all of this and not stress? Anyway your video gave me some comfort today. Just knowing that I am not alone and I'm not crazy. Thank you for making this video it was very helpful.

I've recently, suddenly, started having chest pains too. Quite randomly and more like a strong cramping that comes on and lasts for a few seconds to a minute or two and quite as suddenly goes away. Went to the doctor and had all the checks done on my heart and he could find nothing wrong. Thought maybe it was a result of Covid, though I never tested positive for Covid. I'm learning to relax and not panic when it happens, as panicking seemed to make it worse, and it just goes away. Was so glad to hear her mention chest pains as a symptom of menopause. Who knew?

My menopause has been 100% natural with no treatments and i have experienced a lot of what you mention. I have never had one hot flash but all the vibrating and fluttering. Panic attacks fueled by anxiety over the symptoms of menopause. No one mentions all these could be menopause related but i have often wondered if they are. One thing i like is not getting wiped out anymore. That used to happen from time to time. I would nap in the late afternoon and wake up totally out of it sort of in a half asleep half awake state. Thar never happens now.

Thank you Kari Anne, these symptoms are all familiar, some more than others. At 62 I have recently experienced gall bladder pain which is really scary if you’re having an ‘attack’. I’ve had it twice and thought it was a heart attack. Food tolerances have changed drastically. So the things one could tolerate without thought are now absolute no go areas. Thyroid problems too mean drastic hair loss. Also muscle and joint pain is something shocking which has to be dealt with and bursitis and frozen shoulders are hideous, all shocks due to the menopause. I’ve been prescribed statins for v high cholesterol, but I know they cause muscle and joint pain so I’m reluctant to start taking them… I’m trying to control the cholesterol with diet and exercise, but you have to do it GENTLY and eat modestly and healthily, ie low carb and lots of fresh fruit and veg. I was living on benedryl to calm down for a week. My sister mentioned in passing that too much or too little Vitamin B can trigger them. BOOOM! I actually thought I was going to end up in the state hospital...I thought I was going to lose my mind. There is nothing closer to hell that a panic attack. So I stopped the vitamin B and my brain calmed down but it took 2 weeks to feel normal again. Terrible terrible experience. I'm 59 so the menopause info is a relief when it came to the heart flutter. This is disturbing to have happen.

I’m so happy that I came across your videos. I’m 53 and have started early menopause when I was in my late 30’s. Even though my OB ( btw she has your same last name) told me all of what I’m experiencing is from Menopause (she’s my age and dealing with a lot of the same symptoms) I still got frightened and high anxiety when a new and strange symptom occurs. I’ve made countless doctor visits with my primary doctor because of these concerns and he told me that it’s due to menopause ( I’ve been seeing this doctor for 30 years, he had also worked in the same practice with my OB). I don’t have many friends in my age group (they are all way younger than me) to discuss menopause symptoms to see if anyone else is experiencing these symptoms so these videos really help me to understand that I’m not going crazy whenever I get a strange symptom. My biggest issues are.. hot flashes all day and night, insomnia, anxiety, depression, headaches and pain in my feet and feeling of dread especially when I’m trying to sleep.

I'm 48 and had my uterus removed when I was 38 due to cancer. But she left my ovaries to help me with hormones as ovaries STILL produce some hormones even without our uterus and tubes. So, I skated through the recovery with a breeze, minus pain. But NOW, I am feeling so many symptoms of menopause that I'm positive my ovaries are no longer producing what they did. Heart palpitations have been crazy, the last couple years. I DO have mitral valve prolapse but this is way different than the usual flutters. I also have the cold and hot flashes, and anxiety attacks that are caused by NOTHING. I'm not remotely stressed, and suddenly I'm panicking and don't know why. The other weird one is the feeling like I'm getting stung in my back on the right side. It's a harsh, SHARP pain and lasts only a minute (if that) but it is so sharp and severe, it scares me every time it happens. Feels like a rubber band snapped under my skin. Shocking. The weight gain is the one that pisses me off. I don't eat high fat foods or high calories, and eat small portions and still gain weight. That's not fair! 😅 😂 I think we women should strike that one.

The chest pain in the left breast-- I got so freaked out, drs said heart was fine and couldn't explain it. Checked the heart, got a mammogram & sonogram to make sure it wasn't a tumor or something-- thankfully, nothing serious has been found but I still get that little pain. It's not severe but it's scary. Drs and I chalked it up to possible soft tissue/muscle pain since I have had multiple shoulder injuries they thought maybe it didn't all heal since they can't find another explanation. SO many of these symptoms are common for me these days, I would have never chalked them up to menopause.
