Always like seeing the OL get some spotlight because they don't get near enough of the spotlight and credit they deserve because they're the reason that we see the big offensive plays we see today more than anyone else! Like our mothers, every winning QB should thank his OL during every interview to show his appreciation and make fans appreciate the OL more!

They contribute to those great plays. When you watch the '88 Bengals and Boomer throwing TD's and Ickey Woods, the time Boomer had to throw and the space Woods had to run, that was Munoz doing what he did best.

My uncle is Ickey Woods. In his rookie year in 1988, he scored 18 total TD's, including three in the playoffs. I'd guess that 14 were behind Anthony Munoz. Having a relative play in the NFL meant being able to watch a team up close. I never paid attention to line play until I watched him run behind big #78. He was the PERFECT LEFT TACKLE. Strong, great feet, fluid, and while not dirty by any stretch, finished plays. Hands down, the most overlooked legend in football history.

The 1985 bears defense had one player who was the most feared of all. He was edge rusher Richard dent and was considered the hottest edge rusher in the league immediately. Besides being voted All pro for 1985 he also had the really unique honor of being named super bowl MVP in the bears only modern super bowl championship. With the super bowl finished he was on top of the world it seemed like nobody could stop him. Then he went to the pro bowl where the tackle on the other side from him was somebody he had never met named Anthony Munoz. After the game at the press conference a journalist asked him to give his assessment of Anthony Munoz. Richard dent shook his head slightly and said " I couldn't do anything with that guy"

One of my fondest coaching memories. I had a mixed race kid half Mexican half white. He had grown into such a freak but he had no confidence. His Junior year I told him 'You could be a great tackle!' 'Yeah a great Mexican tackle.' He quipped back. 'What the hell are you talking about the greatest tackle of all time is Mexican!' I yelled at him. 'What?' He responded. 'Anthony Muñoz.' I said angrily. Next practice he takes his 2 point stance. He rests his right arm over his inside thigh and kicks his outside leg way back. I say to myself 'I know that stance.' At the of the best practice this future all-state player had ever had I asked him 'So how many Anthony Muñoz youtubes did you watch?' 'All of them.'

Jerry did too, he simply did it longer, and won more because of it. I don't even think Jerry is really #1, but he's top 3.
