Before O.J. Simpson was running from the cops, he was running away from NFL defenders. Simpson was one of the fastest running backs ever to lace up a pair of cleats and gained over 12,100 yards from scrimmage in his time with the Buffalo Bills. He was a lethal threat when the ball was handed to him, but Simpson was also a capable pass-catcher, with 175 receptions to his credit in his nine-year stint with Buffalo. Simpson's legacy may be all but gone at this point, but once upon a time, few could hope to keep up with Simpson on the field.

@@sydboski bob hayes won the gold medal with a 10.06 on the inside lane of a chewed up cinder track wearing a pair of borrowed spikes that were two sizes too small. if you gave hayes the same spikes and track surface of all those guys you just listed, he would run a 9.6x to 9.7x and he would make all 4 of those guys look like high schoolers. do you enjoy alerting everyone that you are entirely clueless on a subject, yet you still like to pretend you know what you are talking about? imagine not understanding the difference between a cinder track from the 60s and modern synthetic tracks. or the difference in old track spikes that are two sizes too small vs modern track spikes that actually fit, and then comparing times as if all things are equal.
@sydboski
@sydboski 6 ай бұрын
@@PeteZam LOL!!! You obviously don't know that those shoes ALLOWED him to run faster than he ever ran before. Yes even faster than he did in his own shoes. You DO NOT KNOW what Hayes would have run on a newer surface with newer spikes. So by saying actual numbers you are just guessing and YOU are pretending that you know what you are talking about. You have nothing concrete to bring you to that conclusion. Yet you are quoting times that you could not possible know. Who's clueless or pretending? Not me. I know the difference in cinders, concrete, gravel, tartan, and rubber, because I have run on all of them. If I knew EXACTLY what Hayes "COULD" have run "IF" this or that, then I would make the adjustment. BUT since that is IMPOSSIBLE, I have to go with what we actually know. Not some guess work or making up some times like you have done here.

He once kicked a 65 yard field goal in warmups, into the wind, and it went out of the back of the stadium. Mathematicians at the game said it would’ve been good from 120 yards. When he was a kid, he hit a home run over the fence, then, ran to the neighbor’s house, jumped in the air, and caught the ball, before it could shatter a window. During a high school basketball game, he once dunked from behind the free throw line. It counted as 3 points, because he was well behind the 3 point line, when he left the ground. I forgot to mention, the free throw was on the other side of the court. He once ran a marathon, and when he got to the finish line, the other runners hadn’t even started yet. He ran so fast, that he went back in time. He was an amazing athlete.

Bo is nowhere near the fastest player in NFL history, let alone the fastest RB in NFL history. The facts: the fastest Bo ever ran a 100 meters was a 10.44. There were so many faster RBs that played in the NFL. Herschel Walker 10.23 being one of them. What's sad is, my childhood hero is a liar. He keeps lying to the world about running a 4.13 40 yard dash electric time when, in fact, there was NO electric timing in the NFL in 1985. Now Bo, being 225 lbs running a 10.44, is fast for football, but it's not the fastest time for a RB. Jeff Demps 10.01 holds that title for RBs. Check out the Dolphins RBs. They are ridiculously faster than Bo ever was. Raheem Mostert 10.28 & De'Von Achane 10.12. That's scary fast. Bo knows embellishing & lying. Sad but true.

Bit of a stretch to sat Jim Hines played professional football. He spent the 1968 season on the Dolphins practice squad. He appeared in ten games with Miami in 1969, gaining a total of 52 all purpose yards. The fact that he was given the nickname “Oops” is a testament to his ability, or more accurately, lack of ability. He played in one game with the Chiefs in 1970 and has been ranked as the 10th. worst NFL player of all time. Contrasting Hines NFL career with that of Bob Hayes is like comparing Mr. Ed to Secretariat. No wide receiver who actually had a real NFL career was faster than Bob Hayes.

And I quote, "He was 10 worst NFL player of all time". He was the 10 worst what? NFL PLAYER. No one is contrasting Bob's career with Jim's. There is no comparison. Bob was HOF, Jim hall of shame. There is no doubt that Hayes was the vastly superior football player an Jim was a vastly inferior payer. But there is no doubt that both played in the NFL. lastly there is no doubt that Hines ran faster than Hayes. It's very simple. If you go by straight 100m times then Hayes at 10.06 is 5th all time in NFL among ALL players good or bad in NFL history. Bo NEVER ran a 4.13 electronic bc in 1985 the NFL didn't even have that kind of technology. Bo is a liar. The fastest RB in NFL history & football history at any level is Jeff Demps. Even todays 40 yard dash is inaccurate bc it's semiautomatic timed with the hand movement start. Xavier Worthy manipulated his 40 yard dashes by moving in running motion before the clock even started shaving a few thousandths of seconds off of his time. The NFL fans are being fooled by NFL with these bogus 40 yard dashes that make players seem faster or slower than they really are.

@@kennycarlson9996Possibly. But the fact remains the 40 yard dash is inaccurate. Bo was one of my childhood hero's. It was Bo, Sweetness & Herschel. So I say this with the utmost respect to Bo. He was a phenomenal athlete but it drives me crazy when he embellishes about his 40 yard dash. Actually he flat out lies about it. To say that he ran a 4.13 electronically & people that are interviewing him don't even call him out on it. At least Deion Sanders has the decency to admit that he ran a 4.21 hand time in 1988. And Deion was a lot faster than Bo. There is no way in life Bo can keep up stride for stride with the 6th fastest man in human history in Christian Coleman, who is the fastest 60m indoor in human history with his record of 6.34 & also has the fastest 40 yard dash in history with a 4.12. It's just silly when people believe this nonsense. At one time when I didn't know any better used to believe this too but I grew up & started thinking things through & it doesn't make sense what Bo claims. It's just not true.

@@justinnolan9624 if you listen you would know in 1985 laser timing wasn’t created not only that but 6”1 230 pound Bo Jackson is claiming to run a 3.9 which is not humanly possible not even Usain Bolt could run a 3.9 not even if bolt used blocks and spikes he is still calculated to run a 4.07 40 and world record holder in the 60 meter Christian Coleman ran a 4.12 in college. Bolt was 6”5 200 Coleman was 5”9 170 compared to Jackson’s overweight 230 at 6”1 also bolt ran a world record 9.58 second 100 meter time and Coleman’s personal best is a amazing 9.76 this makes Jackson’s 10.44 in college look like garbage. I got some fun facts for you Xavier worthy the guy who ran a 4.21 ran a 10.55 as a 15 YEAR OLD SOPHMORE that shows you alone how slow Bo is their are 15 and 16 year olds who would smash bo 10.44 and make all of you who believe his lies look silly. Bo did not run even a 4.13 think about it Christian Coleman that top three fastest men in the world ran a 4.12. Also I think Christian Coleman has the 60 meter world record. Another thing is Bo was 220 and he was't the fastest person even in College track. There is no proof that he ran that and he definitely never ran 4 flat or below like he said the stop watches say. 1. Bo's 40 time is a hand time fluffed myth. He did not run a legitimate 4.13. 3.9 is humanly impossible. Christian Coleman the current 60m world record holder, 6th fastest human ever 9.76 100m, and the quickest starter in sprint history, ran 4.12 in an NFL style 40. There is no way in HELL Bo could run even with Coleman. Today's world class sprinters can't. 2. The 40 doesn't measure how fast the fastest players are. They are still accelerating at the 40yd mark. CJ2K was fast, but not the fastest at his position. Neither was Bo. Curtis Dickey, Jeff Demps, Sultan McCullough, Michael Bennett, Herschel Walker, Jamaal Charles and others are all faster than Bo and CJ. Race them goal line to goal line., they all smoke Bo and CJ. 3. Hayes ran 10.06 100m on dirt and cinders. Jim Hines (horrible football player) ran 10.03 on dirt and cinders and 9.95 on a newer all weather surface. On the newer surfaces, Trindon Holliday ran 10.00, Jeff Demps RB and Jacoby Ford 10.01, Ron Brown 10.06. 4. Vick would have issues beating RG3 and Lamar Jackson goal line to goal line. 5. 4.09 40 for Green is also a fluffed myth. There are other CB's, faster than Deion Sanders. 6. Troy is not the fastest safety to play the game. Rod Woodson was faster.
