I love Gouramis!! Sparkling and Croaking are two of my favs. When Sparkling Gourami are fired up they are a sight to see! I have 3 right now and adore them. When you hear the Croaking Gourami croak in your tank it's soooo cool!!

Strangely enough, my two opalines are constantly chosen as people's favorites in my fish room. they shimmer when happy and the pattern is subtle yet exotic.

I am a gourami fan, kept several of the fish you showed. You might change the photo at 6:09 as that is not a dwarf gourami....

That is what I was going to say. It's a 3 spot. The image even lists the correct Latin name. It's not a wild dwarf.

I like that this Gentleman doesn't pull punches. Thank him for being so honest to allow the right fish go to the right people. Experience matters as a saler. It shows in this video and others with him in it. Portland has done one thing right. And it's this. Give him a raise before he makes his own channel.

Bob was apparently so disgusted by Gourami that he couldn’t possibly continue. They are not my favorite either but I almost pulled the trigger on those Peppermint pikehead yesterday at the Wet Spot. They are amazing looking.

Ayyeee another Cameron video!! Have a few paradise fish myself - LOVE that they don't require a heater!! I had their tank in the upper 70s until I did more research and discovered that the heater wasn't necessary. They seem so much more happy now in the upper 60s/lower 70s. The People need more gourami information!

The Sparkling Gourami is the best! They are insanely attractive: definitely deserve the 'sparkling' nametag. If they were larger, I think they would rival many marine fish? They look best in a more 'blackwater' style aquarium with a good tangle of woodwork, roots, and botanicals like seed pods, leaf litter, etc, and some floating plants to make them feel totally secure. The fact that remain small means you can get away with a relatively small aquarium to keep them in. Keep the group small so that each fish has space: overcrowding can lead to squabbling? I have found that the beauty of these fish lies in the fact the intensity of their coloration means that they're always visible in the aquarium - despite their small size. And I like the way they behave: their movements and behaviours are all quite deliberate, unlike the typical schooling behaviour of tetras.

I had one in with the lemon tetras and they wouldn’t stop picking on him. I love lemon tetras but they are jerks.
