Google is good but I don't like a app that's separate from the Uber app
@TheLameTV7 жыл бұрын
3:28 google maps can give you gas prices while in route or in a proxcimity and changes when you are driving around to other gas stations 4:20 the prius wont let you lock your doors if the key fob is in the car

For iOS: Dark Sky-- to know when rain will start. Workflow-- for automated text messages. Amazon Music-- Free music streaming if you have Amazon Prime. Includes ability to download music for offline (data-free) play lists.

+Robert Seaton Good tips! Although not a fan of Prime Music since it doesn't have every song I like :)

Thanks Harry and Jon. I got the "timer" app and it really helps a lot. Well worth the $2.99 a year.
@Therideshareguy8 жыл бұрын
Yea it's a no brainer imo and it's actually $2.99 for lifetime :)

Sherpashare is a must have. Can't wait for stride drive to make its way over to Android!
@Therideshareguy8 жыл бұрын
Personally, I don't use Sherpashare anymore since they started charging for their service but Hurdlr and Everlance are two good free alternatives for Android.

They say that the miles from your home to your first destination is not deductible plus your last trip heading back home is also not deductible. All other trips are deductible while you're working Lyft and/or Uber. So basically first trip to your first destination is not deductible and last trip from your last Lyft or Uber stop to your home destination is also not deductible. These are call commuting miles, like u would commute to and from a work/office location. Do you know if this is true or not?

If that's what your tax professional or software is telling you, you should stick with it, but there's more to it: therideshareguy.com/all-of-your-2014-rideshare-tax-questions-answered-a-turbotax-giveaway/

At the beginning of your shift go to a hotspot near your home and then begin your tracker. When you're ready to end your shift, begin heading for home and hope to catch a customer along the way. If you don't want to do that, then go back to the hotspot near your home and end your tracker there. This will maximize your deduction.

Get QBSE + TurboTax bundle for $12/month the first 6 months, then $17/month thereafter .... It also tracks your mileage and calculates deductions, automatically, for each trip!

Excellent video...does anyone know if the mileage you drive between trips can be an expense? For example, ending a trip then driving 3 miles to a new pick up. Thanks for any help!

You can absolutely find an affordable rental program - we have a list here! therideshareguy.com/uber-vehicle-marketplace/

You don't need a computer for Dailypay. You can access it from your phones browser.

@OGSHY8 жыл бұрын
+The Rideshare Guy Active hours is probably the most interesting one for me. Also using the regular Uber app to see how many drivers are around. I'm in a smaller market so it gives me an idea of how many drivers I'm up against and potential hotspots.

Google Music, not Spotify. Google maps, not gas buddy. AccuWeather is not necessary. Airport pickups are almost never worth the wait/process time. Thanks for sharing but I'm doing well without most of the suggestions.
@Therideshareguy8 жыл бұрын
I think music and maps/gas is just a matter of preference. But I can assure you airport pick ups can be worth it, just have to know what you're doing :)
@StrykerEcks8 жыл бұрын
+The Rideshare Guy "know what you're doing" meaning waiting around all day for that one pax you call and is actually going far. Not to the In-N-Out or car rental just outside of the airport lol no it isn't worth all the time you spend there rideshare guy. This is not even open for debate. I know it's not worth while.

i cant believe vugo is on here getting a good light. look at their rating, read some comments. they are horrible app that does not pay out the ad revenue
@Therideshareguy8 жыл бұрын
+Alex Silcock Touche, but I give them a little slack since what they're trying to do could be a game-changer. Imagine if you had a network of advertisers lining up to advertise in the back of Uber car's - that could be a huge boost to your income. So I guess deep down I just really want them to succeed since I know drivers will all make more money :)
@vmgphilly6 жыл бұрын
Are there any better alternatives to this app to make extra income while driving
@michaelconti5137 жыл бұрын
Vugo sucks app doesn't even work right and you never get paid
@Therideshareguy7 жыл бұрын
Yea they've been slow to add advertisers but I think there's potential if they can get enough advertisers on board.
