Been running the isdt q6 plus for over a year now and love it. Mine is 300 watts and charges anything I throw at it. It is small and can be used at home and in the field. I have used others like the IMAX b6 and will never go back. I sold all my other charges. My isdt was quite expensive but my batteries last. I noticed with some of the other charges that they would either overcharge or undercharge or the cells would not be matched perfectly. None of those issues with my isdt. Again...spend the money when it comes to chargers. Batteries are expensive so use a good charger or they wont last. Thanks for the review sir.

Exactly the magic of these new chargers. Modern chargers too have a recycle mode, where they can put the unused power back in a master battery. It can happen quickly with no power lost to heat.

based on my need to charge 2S & 3S mainly for plane flying and then perhaps i'll get higher rating batteries for my r/c buggy car. I don't want to have to buy cables, so could you suggest something. I don't want to spend more than $150.00 USD for a balance charger and AC is the main need. I doubt i would charge in the field, but i guess that's a possibility. Like i would be flying at a flying field and perhaps i could plug up to my car and do a 1 hour charge or something like that. Great video!!! thanks in advance!!!

@solarsynapse4 жыл бұрын
You mean 500mAh? As long as the charger can output the maximum current at the maximum cell count that you need, it can always be set to less. 4s 500mAh is 16.8V x .5A = 8.4W If you really mean 4s 5000mAh then it would be 16.8V x 5A = 84W.

Again I wish I watched more of your informative videos prior to purchasing my new RC yesterday with all the extras that I needed. I purchased battery, charger & Redcat Gen 8 all from Amazon.com I also purchased 3yr protection plan for charger and RC Charger I purchased was called Aorika I paid $55.99 for it. It had great reviews only one 1☆ review because a customer received a bad product that the display didn't work. But was planning on doing an exchange. I hope I made a good decision? Chicken and egg question: if you're using a huge li-po to run the charger to charge your small li-pos, what charger did you use to charge the big li-po that you used to run the charger to charge the smaller li-pos? Did you run that charger from an even bigger li-po? ;-) (I'm just kidding - I know you start off with a wall charger.)
@robbryan30445 жыл бұрын
You don't use a LiPo battery for powering this, or any other charger...you use a 12V battery, be it a car, or motorcycle, battery (due to size, I'd, obviously, suggest a motorcycle battery...preferably a gel, or Lithium-Ion, battery).

Maybe you can help me. I am new to the RC world. Can you recommend a RC brand that offers parts for their cars as well as good rated batteries that aren't expensive. I can't spend more than $150.00 for a RC auto. I bought a $70.00 New Bright car but the batteries only last 10 min and cost around 20 a piece. I want a battery that will last at least 20-30 min. I am going to return the new car I bought because I don't see a good future with it.

what rc do you play if you play rc offroad buy 5200 mah 50c enough for a day ,,, if you play sc rc or buggy maybe just take 10 minute
@JM-nh8yp5 жыл бұрын
I would look at the online classifieds for a used car, such as a Traxxas brand. You can buy a car for $100-150 that sold for $200-300 new. Or you might find a new lower model Traxxas for $150 or so. You will have an excellent durable car with all replaceable parts that will last you for decades with proper maintenance. The cheap cars you mentioned are a huge waste of money. They just don't last at all. Its completely different with a quality car.
@eddielane95695 жыл бұрын
@@JM-nh8yp that is why I took the New Bright buggy back. It looks great but you can't replace anything on it. I might be able to go up to $200.00 but there are so many different brands and variations of RC vehicles. Metal is what I am looking for. Some composite plastics are pretty tough but metal is better.

I live your vids, I even recommended you to a friend that wants to get into the crawler hobby. But PLEASE, spend some cash and get a better microphone! Love you guys! : )
@EleanorPeterson5 жыл бұрын
Hi, R J! I listen on headphones, and the audio sounds fine to me. The microphone is positioned properly; there's no popping, and the voice is clear and not distorted. True, the default volume is low in comparison to many modern audio sources because there's a mania to maximise EVERYTHING to 0db. Output boosters compress things to give the now standard shatteringly loud volume at a setting of 2 or 3. On a scale of 0 to 10, that's ridiculous, but it impresses kids in cars. I much prefer the wider dynamic range of minimal compression. It's classical orchestral music versus hip-hop and rap. So, as with this video, if you need more volume, turn it up from 2 to 7. Whoa! Old-school manual adjustment! It won't distort. But if your default volume setting is 2 for all KZbin videos, it's going to sound too quiet. I appreciate that not everybody wants to have to adjust the volume for themselves, but it's not that much of a chore is it? And it's not really a microphone problem; it's just a matter of choice. Choice is good - there's little enough of it about these days... ;-)
