I love my Syncro 4. Very nimble. It even jumps well off a big ramp. I did damage the stock ESC going through mud and puddles. Don't do that. So I had to get a Hobbywing Quickrun system for it. The V2. Now it's even better. I get 45 mph off road. Even with the stock gearing 😂. I've hit curbs with the Syncro and have had some big tumbles. No issues. 👍. Thanks for the video

The Hobbywing Axe 550 3300 kv on 3S is my go to for all my 10th crawlers (excluding hardcore comp rigs) & trail trucks. Amazing low speed control and crazy wheel speed when needed. Easily connects to app to adjust settings. I’ve got 10 of those systems in various platforms. My first was in the Redcat Gen 8 Axe edition. It’s been ABUSED for over 6 years including being submerged & mudding all the time and it’s still going strong!!

Awesome video to go with that awesome HW setup. I honestly think this is the future of trail/crawling most kids don't want something that goes really really slow especially if they haven't got the right environment for crawling, 18mph max speed looks about perfect for that platform. Hopefully see some more rock racers released in the near future with IFS front suspension and solid rear

The MAX10G2 esc also does fan cycling, also is a great esc, HW does it right. I still use the 7yr old stock esc and 550 motor in my TRX4 on 3s, for years and years..and years. I saw this vehicle run when you first got it, i would leave it. But that doesnt help the hobby i guess.

At $500 is got a lot going for it. However, im pretty sure running 6s would be a mistake, unless you rather replace drivetrain parrs than actually drive it sensibly. @ $500.00 they probably are using sintered gears meant for 3s maximum, not machine gears .

On an E bike this is really difficult to do because there’s no balance connector and it’s hard to access the cells so it becomes a lot more risky to see what’s going on inside.

I think I will wait for the Gladiator version. These 1/5 and 1/6 scale jeeps are too top heavy. I love my SCX6 but it is very top heavy and flips too much for my use. I think the Gladiator version would be better for crawling. You can also 3D print a holding case for an extra battery as well.

So instead of actually improve cooling, they just made it larger? On my comp crawler I have a high kV outrunner 10x smaller geared down on a 20g 6s quad esc, it snaps axles like nobody's business and ripps loose on all mediums. It even bunny jumps from standstill. Why would one use a heavy brick motor ontop of your crawler? Down gearing is more efficient than lower kV motors since the electric losses are way higher than the gearbox losses. The best way is therefore to have more precise gearbox with lower ratios matched with a high kV motor.
@RCReviewChannel
@RCReviewChannel 2 күн бұрын
This ESC works with the new bigger motor, but it also works with the existing 550 motor and 540 motor. Cooling is really not much of an issue especially with the very little fan. The compatibility with 2S-6S batteries is a huge deal.
