I've ridden 20,000km on my Fantic Caballero 500 (Flat Track) around the hills and mountains of the rural Algarve - the bike's a sensation on these roads and dirt tracks, flawless, and an utter blast. Highly recommended.

Love my Caballero 500 - 2 years on and still the most fun I’ve had on a bike since my teens and it’s been faultless. Taken it on a few green lanes and it manages pretty well, I can ride almost 200 miles in a day and it does 70mpg.
@jedw998311 ай бұрын
I could have written that myself, I needed a double take. I also have a Fantic Caballero 500 (Flat Track) and I've now done 20,000km around the Algarve hills and mountains - the bike is a masterpiece and so much fun I often burst out laughing it's THAT good. Ten out of ten for me...

I seriously considered it 2 years ago but being new to bikes I got cold feet reading the negativity around the chinese engine. I wish I was seeing this feedback back then. I rarely see a used one for sale, I guess I now know why.

@@oliviermagere My dealer keeps asking if he can buy it back because he can’t get replacement stock. That same engine is being used in several bikes now and in tuned form in the Dakar rally - that version has twin cams and has around 50+ bhp so it can handle more stress than the mildly tuned version in the cab. Got to say I think it’s pretty bomb proof.

Although I predominately ride larger cc motorcycles, I think Triumph have hit the nail on the head with their 400cc singles. They've got the styling, fit and finish and price point.......That's a winning combination right there. I expect they will be selling quite a few unit's in the next few months. Great review again....love it mate ❤👍😊

Try one, you will love it immediately, they look cool in pictures but in real life they look "expensive" and cooler. The engine was much smoother than i was expecting and the suspension for me was the biggest surprise, class all the way, i immediately ordered one😅

I just changed my old Rebel 500 for one of the last available old model Royal Enfield Himalayan. I'm super happy! I tested all the adventure and Scrambler bikes at the Helsinki Motor show and the Royal Enfield was my favorite. I haven't ridden it yet but I can pick it up when the snow is gone. Can't wait! 😊

What I like in the scramblers is the idea of some good trail riding capability as well as the retro style. So my favourites are the Caballero 500 and Triumphs 1200. I wish Fantic had made the Caballero 700 more comparable to the T7 than to the MT07

I've got a 2024 Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle. Absolutely love it for city driving. I live in Bangkok so there is a lot of traffic and such to weave in and out of. Downsides are the back cylinder gets uncomfortably hot at stop lights mid day in the sun. I also feel it could use dual disk brakes up front and if you're not going on gravel roads etc. the stock tires need to be replaced. But that goes for most bikes on your list. Also being new to road bikes but coming from 20 years of dirt bike riding and racing I should have gone for the Scrambler 1100 as I could easily manage more power.

I had an XSR700 XTribute, absolutely not a scrambler, peachy engine but grabby clutch and 17" front wheel, street only unless you're a masochist. I spent a lot of time and money to get it the way I wanted, fork mods, Ohlins shock etc but it was uncomfortable with a choppy ride. I found it disappointing despite being a big Yamaha fan.

BTW ... have you ever maintaned a Himalyan? Design is fine, but technical development is far beyond.
