Nuber 13. Resume video playback from time which you closed vlc. Tools > Preferences > Show All settings > Interface > Main Interfaces > QT > Continue Playback? > Always. (Note "Ask" option does not work for years)

I don't use VLC for any of the tricks you've listed. These are the main 2 reasons I use VLC: 1) Boostable audio 2) Global Hotkeys - changing the music volume/track while playing a game is always a hassle, having to change focuses and clicking on the next button. Well, with Global Hotkeys, you can just press the designated hotkeys you set and voila!

also, to stream videos from youtube or other places on mac, go to the menubar, click file, click open network and paste the url and you're done. you can also find a ton of other features in there too that have been talked about in this video. you're welcome :)

I've been using VLC for a very long time and couple of these tricks i honestly didn't think that VLC can do it. But I might add that you should've added that you can manipulate audio and subtitle delay as well. It is a great feature and its way too useful especially if you watch movies way too much like I do.

Format Factory does a better job at converting files plus you can Batch convert files and it's free. VLC tends to have problems with Video and Audio syncing issues when converting large video files.

Desktop record.... great for when you forget passwords. Also you can screen capture desktop/screen or screens when running dual monitors. Bookmark is hit and miss. I lose bookmarks when moving files around. I screen capture with video details and save all in a folder, vlc will name the image same as file being played adding 001, 002 etc. Good video, found you on youtube main screen recommended.
