Yay! Super excited!! Thanks for all your hard work!!have a wonderful holiday!! Also, you totally need an affiliate link with tape jungle, I usually buy half a case at a time, but because I broke a 12x12 paper pad down to 6x6 and used your first 10 OSW with it, I’ve gone through that!! Just saying!! 😉😉😆😁😄😃😀.

For triangles and mats. Cut the mat as a rectangle 1/4 or 1/2” larger than the original rectangle. Then cut in half from opposite corners, your mat should work. For instance 3x4 rectangle for top piece, 3.5x4.5 for the mat piece. Cut both in half from corner to opposite corner. That should work.

Thanks for sharing. That's what I did here and it resulted in an imperfect match that needed to be trimmed. It works but could be better so I'm going to try some other options to see if I can come up with a better solution.

This is another great video, Jess. Your sketches and your cards are awesome. I really enjoy following you. BTW, I don’t use an ATG because it’s too big and bulky for me (arthritis and carpal tunnel issues).

You might find it easier to mat triangles using WRMK layer guides to cut your diagonals with a craft knife.

I wasn't sure if use them much in the past but I have some ideas brewing that I think will benefit and so I finally ordered them this morning. Looking forward to giving it a try.

If you cut a rectangular piece of pattern paper; then cut the slightly larger mat for that rectangular piece of pattern paper (but cheat the edges to be a bit larger than what you would normally cut); then cut the patterned paper and the matting paper along the diagonal, then you should have a mat that will work for the triangular piece that is created. You need to cheat the mat edges larger, so that you will have the matting along the hypotenuse, as you have to move the triangular patterned piece closer to the outside corner. So if you usually have a 1/8th mat which is a 1/4th inch larger rectangle on the two dimensions, then cheat it to 3/8ths instead of 1/4th. You should then end up with approximately 1/8th or 3/16ths on the mat when you cut the rectangular pieces. I hope that makes sense. 1/8th is 2/16ths so it should be pretty close.

Appreciate all of the ideas and inspiration with your templates. Look forward to playing. Also for the ATG questions/issues, I'm fine with loading the tape, but can't get the tape to adhere to the paper. Also, how do you keep it from hurting your hand? It's so big and heavy, I find it hard to use. Look forward to your ATG video - Thanks!! :)

My ATG issue is just that the adhesive is just unforgiving, and I am not good at putting things down precisely on the first try. I end up mostly using it to construct envelopes.
@marcyfarrell53693 жыл бұрын
Candy do you know about undo? It won’t resign your project and the adhesive is still sticky when the paper is dry.
@godwinstaples52703 жыл бұрын
To get the triangle to mat with no trimming, the rectangles should be similar. I am a geometry teacher.
