I have been living on the Turkish Mediterranean for 3 years now. With a very small pension of only $1300 a month, I live very comfortably. I only spend about $450 a month to live. Great, healthy Turkish food, veg, and fruit. I still pinch myself to believe how cheap it is here for a foreigner.

What country are you from? How do visa’s work, I am Australian. Thanks

@andypandy7580 I'm a dual national South African/American. When you purchase property, you are eligible for a residence permit that is renewed every two years. Three years ago I purchased a one bedroom flat for US$31,000. Of course now with runaway inflation, it is triple the price. In my area, there are thousands of retired British. Its very easy to live here.

Take these dollar figures and double them for a reasonable budget

If you don't have access to public Cypriot health insurance, you'll have to have private insurance by law. After that expense, living on a budget in the range of $1200 -1500/month will be challenging.

Malta is delightful, but cheap it is not. Think UK prices outside the centre of London.

Video started with views of Foca, not Izmir ! ( Foca is a small town by Izmir)

Izmir has lots of big city highrises

I agree. It's a bit deceiving. There is not one view of Izmir.

I’m confused. So are you quoting USD? You only highlighted that in Cyprus. You need to be more clearer

I use USD currency in all my videos to ensure they are accessible and understandable to a global audience.

LARNACA IS OK BUT NOT CHEAP. A WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF RUSSIAN IS AN ASSET HERE.
