Thanks for this roundup! I have been eyeing Joji's hipster shawl but it uses 3 skeins, so I'm super happy to see that there is a 1 skein option!

I've been wanting to make "May I Borrow This"! I don't understand why it's not more popular. Maybe because it's for other yarn weights too. Check it out.

Thank you for sharing these beautiful patterns! Do you have any recommendations for Shawl/Shlanket patterns using #6 Super Bulky yarn? It’s been below Zero degrees most of the year where I live🥶 and I’d really like to knit up a big ole squishy Shwal that I can wear as a Shawl/Wrap.

I can't think of one off-hand. You could check Ravelry - and sort the patterns to those knit in a super bulky yarn.

@@NerdyKnitting Thank you for your help. Unfortunately that was the very first place I started.

Just went to Ravelry and there are over 1,000 shawl/wrap patterns for super bulky. Plenty simple ones to chose from like Clapperton.

I am rather intrigued with the stitch pattern of Herald, but am not crazy about the triangular shape. I’m a new knitter, but would love to know whether you think the stitch pattern could be incorporated into a simple crescent pattern.
@NerdyKnitting2 жыл бұрын
I think so - it doesn't look like a complicated stitch pattern.
@carblarson88682 жыл бұрын
@@NerdyKnitting Well, that sounds like a video u could do. You would be changing the triangle pattern to a crescent or rectangle and only using the stitch pattern, which can’t be copyrighted, I believe. Please. Hehe.

These shawls are gorgeous but I'm a beginner knitter and those patterns look too advanced. Thanks for sharing

I knit the Ambah O’Brien shawl and it was not a difficult knit. Although I didn’t like the color choices I made, it draped beautifully. Ambah’s patterns are well written and I’ve found that as a newbie, I don’t have any problems with knitting them. Plus, she often will give video demonstration of some of the techniques here on KZbin. I knit the Joji Locatelli shawl and got to about 95% done and then couldn’t figure out the ending. The shawl so far is very pretty and I love the shape, but if I did it again, I would use lifelines, as tinking any part with the twisted stitches was a nightmare.
