Thanks for the chance to collab again! I had so much fun filming with you, and I hope we can do an advanced technique tutorial soon ✨

It was very cool for me to see you breaking down climbs that I am personally working on! Can't wait to collab with you again and see you break down advanced slab climbs that I can't even start 😆

These are great tips for climbing slab… especially the reminder to keep as much rubber on the volumes as possible for a secure stance. Thanks Emily and Geek Climber!
@V8chump2 жыл бұрын
Yes, soft shoes are very helpful for this as well. If you have a harder edging shoe getting that surface area down can be tough or feel less secure/confident
@GeekClimber2 жыл бұрын
I really liked her demonstration of letting go both hands and standing on the volume with one foot!
@augustclimbing2 жыл бұрын
@@GeekClimber Yes, that was awesome and really showed how much traction you can get when doing this.

Wow! Standing on the volume with one foot, no hands! Amazing. Emily is a great teacher. Thanks for a great video.

Great vid and motivated to try more slab. Still in awe how Emily can climb and talk 😮 Need to work on slab-as much as i don’t want to so I can build support strength, but most of all technique confidence. I may have to head down there to fail..er…try and learn. 😆

Watched this multuiple times. Not only is she amazing at well explaning hard moves as she is doing them, the routesetting on some of these slab climbs looks next level also. Did she have any part in setting some of them or this just her home gym or what? Since how well she had some of them solved makes it feel like she is climbing some of her own babies there or she been doing plenty of coaching on these problems, she looked just way too good there for me to believe anything else :D
@emilyaddison-wainwright13322 жыл бұрын
This is my home gym! I did not have any part in setting these, but I coach all my students on each slab set, so I get a lot of practice explaining how to solve each problem.
@alexvila66112 жыл бұрын
It's as amazing how easy makes it look Emily as how hard makes it look Geek Climber. Man I really see too much tension in your body when most of the time it is not necessary, specially in your forearms. I would suggest you to practice in good holds how to let go the tension to the point of almost slipping off, this would make your technique much more efficient.

Slab beta is always SO specific I notice. I have a very magnus like build, can do a little over 30 pull-ups in a row and a few one arms per side…. Love slab, wish I had 14 slab problems in my gym. Makes me feel like a mountain goat

To be fair the first two climbs are…. The worst for your biomechanics in particular. Her arms (and entire body) being more shorter makes it much easier to do mantles and that side pull you couldn’t believe she could hold with one hand
