I also pronounced quay as kway for the longest time. But in Toronto where I am from, we have a street called Queens Quay which is correctly pronounced it as "Queens Way" but I have heard it pronounced "Queens Key" too.

Jennifer, I like this lesson but for me is more useful to include more words commonly used such as colonel, quay, and almond ( by the way I have learned the UK pronunciation where the l is mute so I had to look t up in the dictionary) So as a suggestion could you teach us both pronunciation because neither of them is wrong. I still remember a video where a British teacher said that a common error is pronouncing Almond with the L sound. When in fact both are correct.

Good morning ma'm! This lecture is unique n interesting. In pakistan, we already pronounce "kernel" not colonel. And "leftinent" for another high rank in army. Hope it "ll be correct ? A realtor is generally called a property dealer here. Such a nice way to expain ma'm. Never feel verbiage in your video.
