Hey! I have a question about templer ret :) Whenever i sim my character, it keeps taking crit(enchants, gem and gear) for dps improvements. I have 32% crit now which seems a bit high. Is it normal or am I getting simbaited?

@nikolajsteen3949 Crit is generally higher in M+ because of Empyrian hammers Critting is a massive gain. So not a sim bait, but play whatever feels good. Ideally, you'd want a decent balance of Haste and Crit, for ST and AoE. Haste slightly better in ST, crit better in AoE.

Most tanks pull the dark orb miniboss with that pack at this level because that is what you need to do to time the key. You are in a 12, your tank should be pathing different, and you should be lusting on that pack instead of the house pack. It is not a case of your tank knowing limits, it is a skill issue. Pulling 1-2 enemies at a time is incorrect 99% of the time, and failing to problem solve these things are why people get stuck in 11's and 12's. VDH especially should be playing around meta and pulling massive when they have cds. That is how you time keys. Steering away from that logic is incorrect and begs the question of why do anything above a 10 to begin with. Anything over a 10 is done for the challenge, so why would you even bother doing it if you aren't going to atleast try to do it right. "safely timing" a +12 is such a contradiction and a nooby thing to say. you arent doing 12's to time them safely. What is the point?

For example, pulling 3 packs of 3 enemies that are moderately challenging will lead to more risk and more chances of death than it would be to just pull all 9 enemies at once and cycle through all your cds. That is why your VDH was spiking so much. VDH is between bdk and prot pala self healing, so spikes are pretty normal. That is why they have a cheat death mechanic. But in general, all of the small pulls are why your tank was in constant danger. You have to get the most out of your cds or you will die a lot more.

Furthermore, at 16:29 when your shaman dies, you laugh, but you easily could have saved him. You say "there's nothing going on, and we can't top our guy." My guy, your shaman had a 40% max hp per tick dot on him, and a dark orb is sceonds away from popping and half shotting the group, what are you talking about? you are taking 1 minute sac cd and you aren't using it on the dots in those packs. your shaman had a dot on him and didn't get an external and the orb damage killed him. The only way that is his fault is if he had shift up and didn't use it, but it is hard to see that because you aren't tracking cds, which you need to be doing when you play ret to get max value out of your utility. Your tank does not need to be sac'd on pull. Building that bad habit is a huge crutch. You are getting very low value out of your utility. If your tank cannot survive the start of a pull without wasting your sac, then you go next because it is a skill issue. There are many pulls where sacing on pull is good, but only if you know for a fact that you aren't overlapping with something else, which you most likely are, because every single tank is using SOMETHING on pull. If they aren't, then again, you go next.

I appreciate the input. Part of what makes pugs interesting, though, is that every group is different. We timed this key going slow. Whether that was a nooby thing or not, that worked. I have gotten hall of fame the past several tiers, and I'm just now dipping my tow into pushing keys. There are no comms, and no real stress beyond the general mechanical failures we tend to have at this level. You're a 100% right about me sacking tanks. Based off of previous experience, a lot of tanks just fall over because they're trying to combine stuff. I am sorting out tracking cds. I'm of the opinion that you fix the problem as they arise. If you want to share more tips, I'm always open to hearing it. That's what all of this is for.

@mindless7788 I have played Warrior, Shaman, Mage all at CE/HoF level. Really though, if you're better obviously these videos aren't for you. Says in the channel, it's RET 101. :)
