@@ConJob-dt4ll YT will occasionally send me a note that I've violated one of their weird rules when I comment on the remarks made by some JO but I never make vulgar or sexist comments like the one you just made. See, I've raised a bunch of daughters and my respect for them precludes those kinds of retorts. I'm not going to turn you in for 'offending' me but you should take a fresh piece of TP and really wipe your mouth with it.

Yeah... stressful situations, especially getting blown onto a reef while trying to start your engine, by hand, usually don't implore "Gee... let me set up my camera & film this."
@annedelahay857
@annedelahay857 Жыл бұрын
We had a hose disconnect and all the coolant drain out while going through a pass on a coral atoll, the last thing on my mind was to grab the camera. It was the quickest we had unfurled both sails in our years of blue water sailing. Our buddy boat was filming and thought we were up for a race🤣

It's always hard to balance filming these situations and dealing with them. I didnt' turn the camera on until the Geck was turned around and safely headed back out to sea but it was definitely a choice to take that time. Thanks for appreciating it :)

Holly… your new main… be sure and use plenty of luff tension to get max out of it. Sets the draft forward, eases leech tension. You shouldn’t see any wrinkles coming off the slide attachment points. Having the luff rope carry most of the load will make your sail last longer too. Love your toughness and resilience. Bravo

Fuck I'm so relieved that you made your journey from New Zealand to anywhere in better climates than way down here in the lower forties. I lived here all my life and springtime can be totally educational in these parts. You had fair winds and a calm though mostly overcast journey. Now you have made it away safely I feel it's safe to say that you are a world class Wind hippie. A sailor true. I thank you and God for the good passage you made because local waters can be so unforgiving and powerful. And now I know my boat can get me there too if I harness the courage and wisdom that you show us all! 💌

I just love your videos. I bought a project sailboat and retired a year ago to fix it up. The past few weeks have been crazy motoring from Daytona Beach to Tampa. Getting a mast in Tampa. The engine quit on several occasions and then died for good. I tied my dinghy behind the boat and am using the outboard to push the sailboat the remaining 200+ miles. Thanks for cheering me up by showing I’m not the only one having trouble. How do you keep yourself from swearing? LOL

What an arrival. I use this method when trying to handcrank a cold diesel. Give it a couple shots of oil into the intake. This will lube up the cylinder, also helping compression and making some heat when you crank. Fair winds.
