Guerlain, plan and simple, can not be smelled within the first five minutes of spraying. I tried lidge and could not stand it. Walked away. Smelled the test strip again an hour or so later and absolutely loved it. They definitely settle into the final product. These aren't YSL or Dior. These have character.

I really enjoyed this video. Seeing the two of you enjoying a hobby together was quite enjoyable. Your wife is a very brave woman, even asking for extra spritzes of a scent she was quite sure she would hate, just to give an honest opinion. That shows character. Guerlain Royal Santal on my skin is a very dark smokey rose scent. Its so weird, i get so many compliments people saying i smell like a bunch of roses.

Dilman sky I love santal royal on me and I'm a woman! It's fantastic!I find it sad that so many girls only go for the sweet caramel-vanilla smells or fruity floraly safe scents. I love Arabian perfumes because they have so much more character

@@sore.neculai87 hu i'm arab and i'm not too used to wearing perfumes, there will be a big occasion where my fiance's family and my family will gather for the first time, and will discuss our marriage and stuff, i'm looking for a perfume like Santal Royal, it's french but also has an arab kick to it, I didn't buy it yet because i'm still looking and seeing the options out there, I also liked patchouli ardent, I have to go yet and smell oud isphahan since I have heard so many good things about it and purple oud < both from christan dior. anyways, could u help?

Neroli Outrenoir grates on me as well, I have the same reaction to it. I've tried it several times and every time I have to wash it off. I'm with you, Maria!

I haven’t been able to find Lupin (the cough syrup version- hehe) now that it’s discontinued :( Eugene, do you think the openings on the Exclusives are difficult for Maria because they are more about the heart notes and the dry down? I like SDV but mainly because it is the closest Guerlain to the discontinued Myrrhe et Delires, which I adore but didn’t buy a bottle in time. One of my biggest fragrance regrets. I like when Guerlain subtly uses anise and licorice with warm bases.

Eugene love your channel I thought the vid you did about reviewers you hate was just amazing, why because you had the balls to say what only others think about saying and in today’s PC culture we wouldn’t want to hurt anybody’s feelings, that’s what happens when everyone who participates get a ribbon or a trophy- that started way back in grade school- so that’s what made me a fan instantly that said this is my channel from now on that I go to , to get truer opinion of a fragrance. What I hate is the minute you posted that video others in the frag community started copying you. Another question I have is how do you afford this hobby fragrances are not cheap even when they have gone to the discounters? I've never liked Guerlain, and I was short on time, so I skipped ahead a little, only to hear her say "that red cough syrup" which is one of the most vile scents on the planet to me (I get it with Tobacco Vanille to a small extent, made me instantly hate it). So: I will pass on watching any more about Guerlain, thanks for the heads-up on the cough syrup comparison, I will be staying far away from this company and watch for your next videos. ;)
