I just love the variety of flannel/plaid shirts you own!! My husband has a bunch too as well as the quilted flannel jackets that keep him warm all winter. Wish we had a fireplace that would just make the look complete. So, do you make all these cookies to share at friends/family gatherings, or do you guys just indulge this holiday season? I swear I'm going to gain 10lbs from all the yummy baked goods 😂. You rcv such beautiful and cool cards! Time got away from me and I mailed your card out yesterday. 😊 until the next vlog... ❤

We do eat a lot of cookies this time of year, but I will be taking a bunch to the family Christmas gathering. A lot of them freeze really well too. The macaroons are gone though!🤣 I've been asked to make another batch for the family.😂

I have a rolling pin collection. Most are from my family. I have picked a couple of up at estate sales. The cookies look yummy. The dog was named Max. The cards are fabulous. Have a wonderful week ❌️ ⭕️

That’s an interesting cookie. Looked to have a shortbread-like texture. The Grinch’s dog is named Max. You can add a splash of milk/cream to your hot chocolate. Like coffee, it’ll cool it a bit and add a little creaminess. Thanks for another great video.✌️

These cookies are a lot like a shortbread cookie. I think if you made them with butter, it would basically be Shortbread.😀 I might add a little half n half to the cocoa like I do my coffee. Great suggestion!

Hi Eric. Great video. You do this baking series with such ease! I only tried making cookies with a rolling pin once many years ago. They were linzer tarts filled with seedless raspberry jam. They were delicious but I have to say mine did not look the best. My neighbor had made them for me once and hers were so perfect. Maybe I need to try again sometime. This series is so fun to watch. Quick question, Eric. Is lard the same thing as Crisco shortening? Is that what you used? Just curious...Thank you for bringing the Christmas spirit to these videos!😊🎄🎅

Hi Cheryl. Not all my baking goes as planned I must say.🤣 I've never tried making the lingerie cookies. They look so complicated to me. The lard that is used in this recipe is the animal fat lard. I used Armor brand. I believe you could use crisco and get similar results.

I have never cooked with lard but I know it makes for a rich baked good. I love anise so I'm sure they taste great. I played the Grinch in high school and my good friend played Max, LOL!

The cookies are similar to shortbread. Very rich and flaky, and crumbly. These go great with a cup of tea. How fun you played the Grinch! I love that! Max, was the dogs name. I don't know why I forgot that this year.

Try boiling the water earlier so that by the time you are ready it will be the right temp for you to enjoy......or continue what you do but leave the top open so that some heat can escape

Max! Thats right, I totally had forgotten that.😂 I have to use the cheaters on my rolling pin. I just don't roll dough very often so I'm not all that good at it. I didn't realize the Elton candles were 6 wicks! That's huge!😮
