When you dress well it just doesn’t elevate you-it elevates the whole room, event and all the people that are there-it’s showing respect

Luke, you opening up about your mental health was the point of connection for me. You actually help me with my mental health (even if you don't believe it). That's why I will ALWAYS like and comment on your videos to support you. Funny that, it was not the fashion.

I was initially looking forward to your recommendations on the soft-shoulder double-breasted sport blazer, high-waisted pleated trousers, and the best raglan coats. However, I was pleasantly surprised by your insightful exploration of the true essence of gentlemanly behavior in today’s world. Here’s my two cents: Don’t judge your success solely by subscriber numbers-you can’t control the algorithm. You’re doing exceptional work, and I’ve learned a lot from your content, even though I haven’t subscribed to your channel. Your passion for what you do is evident, and it’s something many of us admire, even if we can’t fully relate. Thank you for your efforts-they are truly appreciated. Keep up the fantastic work!

This is your best video yet. I love the personal explanation of aesthetics and wanting to add to the aesthetics of a place. It’s much needed in modern (British) society. Thanks for championing making an effort and being well dressed.

I agree. This was a really interesting way of making the point. That your presence is part of everyone else’s aesthetic experience and you owe it to them and the place (the decor, the atmosphere) to contribute rather than detract.

Great video, I think you found the sweet spot in connecting the purpose and attention that go into great outfits with a general day to day perspective and how to assert yourself. Kudos to you.

This is the best rules for life I've ever come across. I like that it is your list that you have developed through your own experience and that you aren't explicitly presenting them as "follow these and you life will be better". Rather you seem to be inviting us to create our own rules that might be similar, might be a bit different but hopefully will be mindful of other people as much as ourselves. Much love

Every single point you made are bang on. I dress for the occasion, this doesn't mean I'm overdressed, it means I'm the best dressed man in the room! Let's face it, that's not difficult nowadays. Your last point about being in the pub and not pushing in is quite interesting. A few years ago I was in my local and it was busy. I saw a girl in her 20's waiting to be served but the barman was useless. He came to me to serve me but I said the girl was before me. She thanked me and offered to buy me a drink! I declined, I'm 64 and married but who knows if I were in my 20's.......

That Justin & Hailey Bieber look of scruffy bloke with smartly dressed woman seems to be the norm nowadays 😞 . It's a shame that bars & restaurants are so desperate for custom that they daren't enforce a basic dress-code. There should be a night-time curfew on sportswear.
@EyeByBrian2 ай бұрын
Restaurants have tried this-and the typical result recently has been rapid death via social media pile on. The best strategy for a restaurant is to carefully craft their own image such that those who dress inappropriately are the kind who will *mostly* not be attracted to the restaurant in question in the first place, or will self-adhere out of shame. It’s tricky, and some patrons will wear what they want anyway, but it can be done.

Once I began to notice the "over-dressed girlfriend/under-dresed boyfriend" dynamic, I now see it everywhere and it's incredibly disappointing to see guys who lack any aesthetic awareness or desire to respect their enviornments with their appearance.

10:35 G.Bruce Boyer? Great speaking voice. Should I not listen to this scholar of schmutter? Giving good ( genuine & altruistic) compliments - hard to do unless it's an acquaintance; it's taken as sarcasm when I'm not & vice versa (?!). Yes, my dates are interesting.
