I didn't hate him, I hated Sang-Woo. Deok Su was just a typical "I"m the alpha here" guy, but Sang-Woo was calculated, manipulative & evil. SPOILERS(I elaborate, why I hate Sang-Woo): He's probably more complex, but at the begining, he seemed nice to Ali & Gi-Hun, but at the Honeycomb game, he lost my liking for him & at Marbles, I started to hate him. Before Squid Game, I was completely dispised him & basically prayed for Gi.Hun to kill him. It didn't happen & his suicide didn't make me feel pity for him one bit.

yeah honestly people treat it like some impressive show of heroism but i think that it's just too much. no show is worth losing health, throwing up and exhaustion. To me it's not heroic, it's just badly planned. If your production requires actors to be exhausted, have short breaks and work ungodly hours, you're just bad at planning. It's just a show, it's better to sacrifice a few "wow" effects if it means actors won't have to get sick and strain their bodies
@Rose_flowerrs
@Rose_flowerrs 3 жыл бұрын
@@lvmln7843 couldn't have said it better myself i'm sure the actors were fine and in good hands in terms of the stunts they had to pull like tug of war for example, but their health definitely didn't feel like a concern to the production crew as much as it should have been

No hate, I’m glad this channel is doing it’s part to bring translated content for Western viewers that don’t have the time or Korean fluency to watch/read interviews. I am just genuinely curious as to why Anupam Tripathi was the only actor name mentioned while others were referred to as only their character names. Please acknowledge them because I’m sure “the actor that plays Deoksu” (Heo Sungtae) and “the Saebyeok actress” (Jung Hoyeon) worked hard to have their names credited too!

I get the feeling they intentionally avoided saying their names because they were worried about mispronouncing them. Indian names are a bit more natural to english speakers - but even so, thats no excuse, since they could pronounce the characters names (granted, they heard them throughout the show - but it wouldnt be hard to find videos where the actors names are said aloud)

To be fair, a lot of these really aren't at all unusual for actors. Signing contracts that say they can't talk about their work with people outside of the project, training with an accent coach, filming at different times during the day and keeping their bodies in a particular shape are all things which are pretty standard practice in this line of work and are by no means "extreme rules".

Nah. Most have stunt doubles esp in America anyway. The more famous or popular actor, the less they let them do stunts unless they demand it or it's in their contract or whatever. I'm sure they have to sign that they or family won't sue if they get hurt or killed. Their agents/managers probably hate that lol. I heard Tom Cruise does most of his stunts but he's so famous I'm sure he demands it & has a way around it. He's a weirdo tho. Lol. I'm speculating about everything besides knowing that most don't do their own stunts but TC does.
