I have one, and it has a special place for me. From tuner to drum samples, amp simulations to eq, noise gate to a million different effects, it is always useful. You can find new usage for it after spending years, amazing piece of work!

Love the zoom B3n, seen a couple of local players in my city gigging with it. Also saw Marcus Miller using it live.

Excellent demo! So many options on the B3N. I personally would enjoy any video using this processor. Just got mine about a month ago. I discover new sounds every time I plug it in. The expression pedal Zoom makes for it is pretty cool as well. Not a lot of call for it at live events, but, sure is fun to play with. Imho, this is more of a midpriced multi effects bass processor. Zoom makes several cheaper multi effects bass pedals as well as Vox. Just my 2 cents worth.

I'm sure you know more than I do about these! It's cheap compared to some pedals I have. I really like it though and I'll probably make more videos with it. Thanks for watching.

@@OnlineBassCourses you made some really good examples of what the B3N can do. Would appreciate a video showing how you might use the looper function. I think that would be interesting.

Let me know if you want a video going through each patch or how to get a similar tone with other pedals. P.S. 🎧 recommended! P.P.S. Can you spot the songs?

Hi Dan, I have just bought a Bn3, after having seen this and doing some research,and would really appreciate a video going through the patches.
@OnlineBassCourses3 жыл бұрын
@@JOHNNY1971ism Good purchase Jonathan. It's great - especially for practice! To be honest with you, I don't really know much beyond the VERY basics which are all I need. I hate reading manuals but... I did for the basics on this and just put together some patches I'd use. Once you spend an hour on it, you'll know more than me! One thing is that there are plenty of patches I'd never use. So I just ignore them. A basic understanding of common bass effects and how to chain them helps. I like the loop feature for practice and will try and do videos on that.

So question, I have my Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 head and a GK 4x10 cab. I've been wanting to get some effect pedals and a compressor. Can this B3N work as just a compressor/effects that I can plug in the return or send on my head? Im not interested in the amp modeling/cab sim as much as the effects.

I'm not actually sure. It probably could but I'd recommend checking the manual which you can download online.

If you are going to demonstrate effects from a particular pedal, in this case the B3n it would help if you also advised which Patches were being used and if any had been modified otherwise this is a waste of time🙂
@OnlineBassCourses3 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure you've understood the point of the video. It's not about the particular pedal. It's about the effects used (that are present in all multi effects pedals). Fair enough though, I could have added patches. (Talking of time: these videos take me way more time to make than they do for you to dismiss them 🤣).
@DM-cp4uk3 жыл бұрын
@@OnlineBassCourses Apologies I did not intend to dismiss the video. The video states "The Zoom B3N packs a mighty punch! Here are 11 famous bass tones recreated using just the one multi-effects pedal. " So please forgive me for thinking that you were using it.
@OnlineBassCourses3 жыл бұрын
@@DM-cp4uk No, no, you're absolutely right! I was using it, and I can see how that was misleading...The idea was to show that you can get different tones from a 'cheap' pedal. I'll be doing loads more tone videos going into more specifics.
@randysnell92184 жыл бұрын
Can it produce a tone similar to Billy Sheehan?
@OnlineBassCourses4 жыл бұрын
A lot of his tone comes from his fingers, techniques, and his dual output bass. You can add overdrive of course though.
@Dapno_2 жыл бұрын
The B3N has EBS Sounds, which Billy uses, and provides multiple Drives with blend Options which, in Effect, will get you pretty close to his bi-amped sound.
