This collection of videos was created about half a century ago to explain fluid mechanics in an accessible way for undergraduate engineering and physics students. I find that no other series of videos has explained the basics of fluid mechanics better than this one by the National Committee for Fluid Mechanics (those national committees gotta be good for something...)
As such, I have uploaded these videos here for the benefit of students and interested laypersons. I do not own the copyright and these videos were not made by me. If anyone should want me to take them down, I will comply without complaint.
If you want scans of the printed notes that go along with these videos, check out them out over at the MIT side of things: web.mit.edu/hml.... They are really great stuff.

Excellent presentation. The beauty of hidden wonders are there to behold by everyone, and what a pity that many people are not even conscious of these hidden, unseen and silent relations, actions and behaviours which offer us a better life in many items we use daily.

If my fluids teacher spoke so slowly, deliberately, and explained things as thoroughly, fluids would be a lot easier and more interesting.

This series of films by Ascher Shapiro must be well over 50 years old, as recall being shown them as a student in the UK in the early 1960s. I also recall a series by him entitled, 'Shape and Flow'. I was interested in the fact that the non-streamlined support bar seemed to produce a whistling sound. I wonder whether this was as a result of it shedding a Karman vortex street?
