Italian guy here, spent last seven years travelling around India + SE Asia, I'm back in Italy at the moment and once you get used to Asian jetsprays it's just so, so hard to go back to basic, western-style toilets. I mean having nothing but toilet paper, that's most definitely bad enough... and the thing is, that's the best case scenario. Most toilets don't even have that. Basically you need to plan beforehand, always make sure you move bowels before going out. And that's all kinds of inconvenient.

What a load of BS! If you tried to greet anybody with a "bise" during the Middle Ages, way after Alexander's time, you would have ended up with a torn force! The kiss on the cheek was a sign of peace or truce back then, not a greeting. The bise is also not specific to France: Italians, Spaniards, Arabs, etc... do it too.

shivani Singh I think so. 'Cause French people love their language very much, even if you ask in English they'd answer you in French (not everyone though); so I think you should learn first and then go. I'm not going to France but still I'm learning this language, 'cause it's a beautiful language.
