@Dancinfanz Memorization is the easy part. Keeping time with no conductor is also easy. the hard part is performing with such technical proficiency and being able to produce such beautiful tone quality.

These girls happened to be really good eventhough lately I had also found many more great Chinese musicians, mostly from mainland China. For ex. the blind Erhu player (Ah Bing, died 1950, with very sad story), his song 二泉映月, watch?v=Fj13KU3SAvE&feature=related made me tears. You may google about him in english (Hua Yan Jun) or 华彦钧

The only other persons I have seen playing a guitar-like instrument that fast was when Los Indios Tabajares did "Flight of the Bumblebee" (classical, not ragtime) on two guitars on the Johnny Carson "Tonight" show.

@elouwen, I totally agree with you. China is a peaceful country and never aggressive unless its tail is stepped on imperialised nation or territorial invasion. Back to music, Chinese's rich culture always bring us full of surprises, especially to many whom has been westernised. Their openness really offer plenty of excitements to the world.
