I love my hair and eyes. I notice in the past my mom who I love would unintentionally make me less confident. She wanted the best for me but was doing more harm than good. I became more confident and I believe confidence is a journey that never ends. Recently I noticed more people started complimenting me. I became friends with these three girls and they were all so sweet. They told me I look like a disney princess and they saw me in church a few years ago and said I definitely had a major glow up since then. Today I sat next to a girl in one of my classes during lunch that I’ve never spoken to before and she said she really loves the outfits I wear but never got to say that to me before. I was scared of what people thought about me before and while i wasn’t super insecure or anything i didnt have my own style and I was scared to be vulnerable with people because I thought they’d judge me. Now I am much more confident and made so many new great friends. I am closer to my friends than I ever was before and really feel great about myself which I think is what is attracting these compliments. It really breaks my heart seeing people who aren’t confident in themselves because I was there before. I know this isn’t a religious video but my church community is so loving and supportive and that definitely helped. Fit me going to church is like a free therapy session and people really cared about me. This definitely increased my confidence.

i stopped calling myself ugly/criticising my looks, LOOKING for flaws a year ago. it has really changed my mental health! while i dont yet love myself per se, i do LIKE myself, how i look, who i am I often write down 3 things im grateful for, 3 things that brought me joy recently and 3 things i love about myself to keep myself in a good place.
