I loved this entire video. THIS is the way travel videos should be made.

I love that you showed how the restaurant ordering looks like! I have anxiety and all I could think while watching another video like this was, “How do you order the food?!?” Thank you! I can’t wait to be able to visit Japan

KZbin suggested your vid to me. Glad they did. Your content is just as good as some of the bigger Japan travel channels I watch. Keep up the great work and you will be very successful.

This came up as suggestion for me tonight and I had to click on the video and also instantly subscribed! I just love this type of videos, it’s so relaxing to watch and I love seeing the different places and different methods of traveling. I also watch several other channels with similar content from Japan, but each channel has its charm and character and I just love this type of video format. If I’m ever able to, I want to travel to Japan and travel around Japan using various ferries for the really long distances (like the 40h ferry from Hokkaido) and use the Shinkansen for a bit shorter distances. I’m disabled and live with severe chronic pain so for me sitting up for extended periods of time can be very painful and tiring, so it would just be easier on my body to travel by ferry so I can go to the cabin and rest as needed. I also find Japanese ferries very fascinating because to you it’s a ferry, but to me as a Swedish person, it looks like a small cruise ship because the interior is just so pretty and well planned and even the food on Japanese ferries look amazing! On many ferries here you’ll either find just junk food that is overpriced compared to buying the same food on land, or some very overpriced buffet with more junk food, if you’re lucky there may be some more decent sit down restaurant with a’la carte available or a more high end buffet, but the only ferry I know of in Europe that has anything remotely similar to Japanese ferries would be Hurtigruten along the Norwegian coast from Bergen in the south to Kirkenes by the Russian border. Hurtigruten is a ferry but because of the scenery of Norway it also serves as cruise ship and you can choose to just go between a couple of ports on your way somewhere (or to just get to travel with the ship at all) or you can go all the way one way or the other or even round trip. Takes 6 or 7 days to go all the way one way. Because Hurtigruten is so popular among tourists they catered for the tourism and got larger and more luxurious ships over time and essentially because a cruise line with ferry services. But yeah; food on Hurtigruten is amazing from what I’ve heard from people who have traveled with Hurtigruten. My maternal grandmother and my mum went Bergen-Kirkenes in 2006, and my parents went the same route but one of the larger ships (Nordnorge) in the early summer of 2007 and they all absolutely loved it. My mum and grandmother went on one of the slightly smaller ships. I’d probably want to go on Trollfjord or Finnmarken which is their largest ships (unless they have new, larger ones that I don’t know of) but yeah, that’s probably the closest thing to a Japanese ferry and also totally different prices. Hurtigruten for two people can easily cost about $3000 range including getting to and from the port so such a cruise isn’t cheap...

Really enjoyed your video!!! What an amazing sunrise and the lighted bridges too. It's interesting how they can moor the ferry with such exact precision - thanks for showing that part. And hey what great food choices you made :)

I watch your Vlogs on my TV using AppleTV. The views are fantastic! I’ve been catching up on all your vlogs and really enjoy them. If I can make one request, when you are looking at vending machines, can you slowly pan across all the items. I’m curious about everything in vending machines. Can’t wait to see what’s next! Thank you for sharing 👍😊

I think there is a setting to automatically turn on subtitles. Some people say that adding yt:cc=on to the video’s tags will do it, although other people say it doesn’t work anymore, so I’m not sure…

Very nice video of this fine Hankyu Ferry ship. I now see why 2GO Travel, the largest passenger shipping line in the Philippines, was attracted to this ship's predecessor and its sister.

Such is the information you convey about these ferries and the journeys you make on them, perhaps you should consider a PhD on Ferry Travel and make comparisons between them. As always, great 'short' viewing.

thanks for the video! it's to bad JR doesn't have a line of these cruise ships, foreigners with a JRPass would love it. also it looks like 1,000 subscribers very soon, so early congrats on that milestone!

Would you ever consider showing options for travelers who happen to be vegan or vegetarian? It would be most beneficial to those of us navigating new countries. I just discovered your channel, and really appreciate your attention to detail. It adds so much to the experience, as well as helping those of us planning large scale trips. I wish you much success, and look forward to seeing your channel grow.

Any Chance you can add the visual text into the videos like it used to be. I don't usualy keep close captioned on and was freaking out that you changed how your doing your videos. Maybe for the dumb dumbs like me put a reminder to turn them on when we watch your vids. Thanks
