Makes me wonder whether Japan had rampant right-wing anti-vaccine disinformation, and massive conservative protests against elementary protective measures such as mask-wearing, and ignorant reactionary suburbanites deliberately coughing into other people’s face, or whether all of that nonsense we experienced in the U.S.A. was just our own country being dragged down the toilet.

12:02 These trains are so gorgeous on the inside, as well as out. So much thought and attention to detail in the color schemes and the lighting. At 14:52 I mean wow! Just look at those look at those beautiful wood floors, the kind of wood that shines like it's glowing. It really is like your in a mobile, upscale hotel, so classy. And this is just the hallway to the rooms and entrance to the train! And it's even nicer and more cozy once you get into your cabin for the night. Japan, on the whole, is just really a class above the rest in anything you all set your mind to do. Bravo! 21:38 Wow, what a beautiful sight...Just want to say thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experiences with us. 😊🙏👍

Also in the uk in bed watching 😀 I can’t watch anything stimulating before bed. I’m hopeless at getting to sleep, staying asleep & getting a quality sleep with the correct sequence of types of sleep. I like to watch camping videos, my own idea of that is Premier Inn 😂 . Love the ones in deep snow and bitterly cold weather. But I have to keep the volume low, that dry creak thing snow does underfoot is like nails on a chalkboard to me 😂 Watching videos of people going walking for a day are great too 😀 If only we could get interesting things on tv, instead of the soaps, the tosh such as live island…I’d rather watch a religious channel for 12 hours and I’m atheist 😂

I am always attentive when reports on Japanese trains are featured on KZbin. And I am still and always admired by the beauty of Japanese trains, by all the little details that are offered to travelers to make their trip more and more enjoyable. It is truly not only great art, but also the mark of a deep respect for travelers. Finally, and this is also a point which is far from being a point of detail, it is the extraordinary cleanliness which seems to be an unwavering line of conduct of the Japanese Railways. I envy you for having such beautiful trains and thank you very much for this wonderful report.

Suggest you look out for when the Ferry21 offer is revived. this offers you six long distance sailings fior 21,000 yen, including 'capsule' accommodation. I was planning to use it in autimn 2019 but it was teporarily withdrawn while the VAT negotiations were taking place. Paid ordinary fares instead, not as cheap but cheaper than Europe and excellent value. Bst route to try is Tomakomai via Akita and Niigata to Tsuruga - two nights, one full fay following the coast. But my real favcourite is the 24-hour crossing from Tokyo to Chichijima. I am also hooping to return toi Japan as soon as possible, am currently reseatrching history of high speed rail for five-volume series of books. Not hat i would recommend Shinkansen for travelling. Or the all-line JR passes. Much better offers available. Also work as Japanese and spabish correspondent for Railway Gazette International - check out our news reports and the occasional artiicle on Japan!
