Thanks for taking on my commission, George! I have to say it was a tremendously great experience. I learned so much, and the 20 minutes belittle the 12 + hours of work it takes to get something so beautiful! There is nothing like having that experience in your own environment. You helped with the equipment and plant choices and spent so much time ensuring what was created was something the whole family (and dogs!!) could enjoy. You were an absolute pleasure to work alongside and have in the house. I look forward to seeing you in upcoming events very soon. Thanks, mate!!

That rock is special. It's a simple thought with deep meaning.... I would love to see a scape that highlighted how special that stone is. Various shapes, sizes, and showing it off. Beautiful work. That snippet at the end, set to that music was the perfect moment this morning.

Hi George, thanks for this excellent and inspiring video. I shamelessly ripped off your hardscape design and planting suggestions to produce a budget version for my first proper aquascape. Following your advice, I’d planned to do weekly 50% water changes, but would you recommend that I do more frequent smaller changes initially, until the plants get established? Also, 24 hours after set-up the water has become quite cloudy, which I assume is new tank bacteria bloom - some online advice says to leave this to clear for a week or two, and that changing water will make it worse. Presumably you’d recommend ignoring this advice and persevering with the frequent water change regime? Apologies for all the questions, but look what you’ve started! 😃

Hi George, what is the best way to add new shrimp and fish to an aquarium with CO2 injection with no prior fish or shrimp ? I’ve having real trouble finding the information online
@GeorgeFarmerStudios3 ай бұрын
If you’re seeing plenty of plant growth and testing zero ammonia and nitrite then just add a few fish and shrimp, and observe

It’s a South American themed tank, but nothing in it except the swords are found in that continent in the wild! Perhaps we should just call it an “Earth” themed tank instead!
@GeorgeFarmerStudios3 ай бұрын
Staurogyne repens, Echindorus grisebachii “Bleherae” (will dominate the background), Echindorus grisebachii “Tropica” originate from South America but the theme is based more on the proposed fish (Angelfish, various tetras, corydorus). “Themed” is a subjective quality too. For the really pedants out there, all these plants come from greenhouses and laboratories in Denmark, so maybe it should be a Danish themed scape. 😂
@HotshotH3 ай бұрын
@@GeorgeFarmerStudios Like I say, just the swords, but admittedly I forgot the Staurogyne. Does black elderly stone and manzanita wood originate from SA? My comment wasn’t intended to be negative at all, just observing that more components came from elsewhere. Still beautiful work nonetheless.
@GeorgeFarmerStudios3 ай бұрын
It’s a fair comment. I don’t know the answers to your questions. The theme is ambiguous unless we’re talking about the proposed fish.

That's my fault! I was vague about what I was looking for (very vague!), and there was some adaptation and bending. I am really pleased with the outcome.
