Ashley's pick, the red aglaonema with her shiny and thick leaves, is stunning. It is a bold red color nonexistent in of all of Calatheas. Nevertheless, it is an Ingenius idea to place these aglaonemas among the geogenanthus. The shiny deep purple leaves and the shiny deep red leaves create such a rich and unforgettable result!

I have a lot of aglaonemas, I find them to be beautiful plants that are insanely easy to care for. You are actually going to want to hope that new leaf that pushes out has some green to help sustain the plant. I have one that is almost entirely pink, gets amazing light and didn't push out a new leaf all summer while the rest of my aglaonemas grew fabulously. Since it has so little green, make sure to give it good light or she's a goner! Good luck!

Red, Pink, Violet etc leaves still have chlorophyll and can perform photosynthesis. It's a common misconception that only the green part of a leaf is able to photosynthesize. I have an Aglaonema China Red that's growing a new leaf right now at the end of autumn and the lightning is subpar to say the least. I know those Albo varieties of monsteras are unable to photosynthesize, but that's definitely not a rule in the plant kingdom.

17.15: i can recognize 3 kinds of Aglaonema there, in Indonesia they are sold as ruby garuda, red anjamani, red apple/spider, they like soft morning and late afternoon direct sun to maintain their color and posture, before 8 am and after 4 pm, after several months you can train them to direct sun exposure until 9-10am in tropical countries, but not between 10am to 3 pm, they'll get sunburn, only if you give double 70-75% shade net

Love this fun plant shopping video! Many thanks for sharing! I have an Aglaonema that was marked Red Valentine. Picked her up at Pike’s in Atlanta roughly three years ago. She is mostly a pretty deep red with some deep green and cream. When I had her closer to a window she started to fade so I moved her to the side of the large area of windows and she got her deep warm color back. If you like pink and you don’t already have one, pick up a Sparkling Sarah. You’ll love it! I got mine at Blackhawks a few years back. Can’t wait to see a future update on your new ag! I know she’ll be even more lush and beautiful! Take care. 👌🪴🥰

That Aralia balfouriana variegata is an awesome plant. So easy, very few pests and grows quickly. They can get tree size and they stay nice and full. Only good things to say about this very underrated plant. And cheap!

23.40: the one has more green on the leaves is called dud (dude) anjamani (un-juh-muh-knee), there are several variations of anjamani, tricolor, red, dark red, white, cream, pink, which for common people eyes, they are not much different,, also there is catrina (pink/red) that almost the same as anjamani, also might have different naming in different country (Thai, Indonesia and Phillipine), anjamani is a hybrid from Thai

Ashley, you can save your plumosa fern by simply cutting it back to the soil. It will regrow a whole new plant! I’ve had these ferns forever and I’ve safely cut mine down several times with great success. I hope this helps! 😊

For me the agleonoma varieties I got the best varigation out of them when I could get a few hours of sun on them during the day. Nothing too crazy but they seem to enjoy a very bright spot for best color 😊

I think that is an aglaeonema suksom. Mine is pretty far from any window, and stays red despite that. But if I see it fade, I'll move it. Aglaonema really are easygoing.

in my experience for them red aglaonema, just get a good one and don't water it as much as you think it you should water it... LOL... i have a greener one, pink one and a dark red one, and so far, they kept their color... don't really treat them as good as i should, but they are thriving, and have kept their colors... i think if you get a green one, it won't get more red, or heavier variegation... kind of like a birkin... if you want one with heavy white variegation, you buy one with heavy white... it won't revert, or get more variegated...
