I’m in the same boat as a few others, here in Pennsylvania, so far my area had about 7” of plowable snow. My old snowblower I bough used was just riding the struggle bus. Bought a new Deluxe 24 and can’t wait to start using it when another storm comes through. I like the content because I like seeing how awesome a job the blowers do lol.

Hope you bought the Ariens 24" Rapidtrak.. It operates as a wheel unit or tracked unit .. Amazing machine.. And the auto turn I can push with one finger

@@46GarageUSA yea I got the Deluxe 24 with wheels and Auto Turn. Did the quick preventive maintenance and added Anti Seize to the axles and slip shaft on the right side wheel axle; just used it first time yesterday. Did an amazing job, very impressed

Southern PA here. Had total of 6 inches over course of a week. All melted and gone now but had a chance to use my old flat-head 11HP Troy-Bilt tank. Worked fine but impeller blades a bit worn.

I am here because I am interested in getting an Ariens but heck, use a shovel here to go way faster and perhaps use the Ariens just to finish blowing off the little snow banks you will have done shoveling.

I got a brand new Deluxe 24 for this season too. Because I was well prepared for winter this season, mother nature is not cooperating and is giving my area an unseasonably warm winter. We've had no snow to warrant using the blower. I can't wait to use it on a real amount of snow.

I just use the one without batterys. I also take the gas back out of the snowblower with it. Then, run the blower out of gas before I put it away. I don't like gas in my house with having a wood stove.

Best advices, keep extra shear bolts in stock, never use anything else, and don’t tighten them down. They should be on snug at most. Grease the auger shafts right away and do it every year (they’re not full length any more. Check the auger gearbox fluid right away and before every season. Add your fuel stabilizer as soon as you buy the fuel so you don’t forget. There’s a push-button (should be) carb drain on the carb bowl, use it. Finally, before a storm hits, always do a site inspection for debris, rocks, branches, newspapers, etc.

I've been using a deluxe 28" bought new the year they came out with the autoturn and ditched the underlevers... my DW is almost 200 yds at a pretty steep angle with a 3 car space at the top, and 6 car space at the bottom.. other than greasing the auger and replacing the drive plate once so far as well as regular oil changes no issues whatso ever with the machine .. fortunately here in Sullivan County NY (the catskills) I have non ethanol fuel available and use it exclusively in my garden tractor, snowblower and motorcycle Had an MTD made unit previously ... not bad but the Ariens kicks ass in comparison.. last snowfall was about 10 to 12 inches .. took me 2 hours to clear

I keep my gas in a dock box out in the yard . It's 45 minutes at least for my VFD being rural. Then they have to water tank from the lake 2 miles away. My ST824 keeps on going in the Pocones. 10 inches last storm zzzzz

Narrowed it down to 24" airens deluxe and ariens 24" compact. Storage will be tight but think Im going with the deluxe because of the stronger engine. I just dont know if the compact will handle what the plow leaves behind at the end of the driveway after a big storm.

Well…. Im pretty sure 99% of everyone would prefer that kind of a set up in a snowblower. Normally I clear snow with a John Deere skid steer, full set of snow tires and a 6' Pro Tech Sno Pusher w Pullback. Cheers!

In this video i just have my regular winter clothes on. Thermal underwear, jeans and a flannel long sleeve shirt. Honestly running this snowblower isn’t much work at all. Im basically just walking along with it. Even turning it is easy, its got auto steer. Cheers!

This is what i could find on the web… ‘’254cc Ariens AX snow engine with 12.5 ft. lbs. of torque for snow-devouring power.’’ Conversion chart says aprox 8.5 hp. (Snowblower engines do not have HP ratings so HP rating estimate may not be accurate.)
