My father and grandfather and likely way back carried handkerchiefs. I’m 50 and haven’t carried one since my dad made me as a kid. I just can’t understand how they would want to walk around with a snotty rag all day. My dad worked hard and outdoors a good bit, and it the colder area of the country. His handkerchiefs would be gunked with dried snot, but they were white so he’d bleach them. Now a little towel in a bag is a nice idea, reminds me of hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy. You have expensive tastes, but a good eye for interesting stuff

I second carrying a kerchief or the like. I never blow my nose with it unless it’s a dire emergency but it gets used for a million other daily tasks. One day I’ll use it to dry my hands leaving a public toilet with no hand dryer, the next day I’ll use one to stop some bleeding, and then there is the endless kid filth.

They’re so handy! Wish more folks would come on board with carrying one - I’ll probably never stop preaching to everyone about it haha.

Impressive video, Josh Fenn. Looking forward to your next upload! I smashed that thumbs up button on your content. Keep up the fantastic work. Your suggestions for the ultra-light shopping bag and the unique toothpaste tabs are spot on! Have you considered how these items might impact the sustainability efforts for travelers?
@joshfennАй бұрын
Thanks so much for the support! Reusable bags are always a good idea for single use, but the toothpaste tabs are really great as well compared to regular toothpaste! No water generally leads to a much smaller carbon footprint for the shipping and logistics. Talked about it a bit more in the video but cut is shorter for time - I tend to ramble on a bit too much for people’s attention span haha.

My Darn Tough socks lasted less than a year. Wasn’t my fault. Then I found out that there isn’t a place in the UK that would accept them for return/repair, so I would have to post them to the USA. Which isn’t a free replacement is it?

I think there’s a few interesting items here but….. why would anyone want a cooking thermometer with an app? Regular thermometer you just stick it in food and read it. Why an app for this???
@joshfenn25 күн бұрын
The app is entirely optional. This is a leave-in thermometer though more focused for longer cooks with bigger meat like a brisket or turkey - really nice to be able to check the temp remotely if you want.

i dont understand why people dont carry backpacks...halpf of your stuff its useless if you have one, ive been carrying a backbackl since school, never stoped...lets say you wanna go grocery shopping from A to b, its much more easy to store everything in a backpack than to hold it, since it may be a few dozen minutes will you reach your destination, also on the bicycle you can easily just hop on. i guess that handbag is for americans cause in eu...well it will woprk on small sp[aces but i prefer my large backpack with laptopo and space for 5 2 liter bottles in it...and i have one of those in it, in case i need more space.
@joshfennАй бұрын
I totally agree and always have a backpack with me when I’m headed to the grocery store. This is good for overflow if I get more than planned, or to keep in my sling bag for impromptu trips when I’m not expecting to carry a lot

@@bluthndrbear you are only allowed with company issued equipment and carryon in secure facilitys. As an industrial automation engineer i can only use my company issued stuff. It has a separate lunch container which i leave in the entrance and can enter with the tools and laptop from work, but it's big enough that i can fit inside some quick grocery shopping on the way home. Things in Europe are pretty strict with these kinda of stuff, and my fresh produce stores are closed in the weekend, and it kinda defeats the purpose of buying fresh stuff every 2 days.
