Good stuff ! I recently moved, hardest part was moving 4000 pieces of vinyl and boxsets.

Julian priester is still around. He lives in Seattle and does a monthly “Julian speaks” sort of living history talk about his experiences at the Seattle jazz fellowship. He very graciously signed all of my records that I have with him on it, including spiritsville. He actually did a one off show with a quintet backing him. He doesn’t play out in Seattle as much as he used to

Good stuff. I enjoy finding things in the wild. Picked up a 1959 Blue Note OG 'The 3 Sounds' title in pretty good shape at a local Record Fair last weekend.

Glad you found some good titles. I was going to go to yesterday's show but it would have been an hour drive, and I find that with the Atlanta shows. 80% of the vendors are the same old folks with the same old records. That said, I have had some amazing finds over the years at the show.

Johnny Smith put out 78s on Roost, then compiled onto lps? That record is great, but the one to find is with Ruth Price.

I started attending the Atlanta show in 1994 and went faithfully till about 2016. However the selection and quality kept going down and so many of the dealers just kept bringing the same old tired titles and conditions kept declining. That was the last time I attended.
