とても有益な動画です。ありがとうございました。 サブスクで探して拝聴致しましたが、素晴らしいアルバムばかりでした。 知識の乏しいジャズファンにはありがたいです。

During the pandemic I found a guy on FB marketplace selling about 50 original Blue Note pressings, and among them was an OG Tina Brooks - True Blue. He wanted $650 for all of them and I was too broke! Went back a couple weeks later and they were gone

I once believed he was a cultural thief. But the movie did a good job showing Elvis roots and how he was influenced by black music and his dance moves from the holy rollers church. He also had the 3 degrees as backup singers. Diana Warrick credits him for helping her sell her records by signing them at one of his shows. I watched a documentary on Elvis, and it was very informative. Yes, in that era, a lot of white artists ripped out black artists, and the black artists never got the recognition they deserve. That was what happened in the music industry. But Elvis did credit to many black artists.

The 4 Miles Davis albums that were shown on this video are referred to by some people as the "Apostrophe" albums due to the album titles being a single abbreviated word ending with an apostrophe.

I'm slightly late to the party on this one. Anyway, very glad to have found my way here. Thank you for highlighting the perpetual nonsense peddled by contemporary labels about endless re-masterings of old LPs. Contemporary pressings are admittedly a game of Russian roulette. I have a Universal Music reissue of 'A New Perspective' by Donald Byrd. Side 1 is so badly pressed you can see indentations in the groove. Sounds awful!

@@analogwavelength He brought it to the flea market he sells records out of. He had it in an outer poly sleeve and the record was in the original waxed paper inner tucked between the back cover and poly sleeve. I looked it up on discogs and confirmed what we both thought. He wouldn't tell me which Goodwill it was. LOL
