How do you and how often do you clear the slurry deposited in the second level (the tank with the stones and filter). Thanks

Ideally every month is sufficient. BTW, the slurry is also full of nutrients, we used to add the slurry to FYM

Hi, Thanks for the detailed valuable information. I have couple of queries. 1. I see that you have used the plastic thank. Since, we have added cowdung in thank for preparation of jeevamrutham, do you think this will reduce the lifespan of them? 2. If given an option to set this up again, will you use plastic tanks or cement rings to prepare thank? 3. How will you remove the residue which is present in the tank? All the best. As one of viewers,has asked, we would be happy if it is clearly shown how the residue is cleared from the bottom of the Tank?

Apologies, didn't notice these messages earlier. - We've been using the tanks for like 3 years and so far, they are good. For large farms, I would suggest concrete tanks and some permanent structures. - We have a 2inch gate valve very close to the bottom of the tank to remove the slurry. Kindly note, we have moved away from the leased farm. Now working on setting up the infrastructure for our newly purchased farm land. Since its owned, we are thinking about investing in a permanent setup with concrete, instead of plastic. Yet to reach that stage - still awaiting power connection and working on sheds and land preparation.

i think you should not use the sprinklers, maybe just wetting the beds should be enough, wetting the leaves with decay enhancing jeevamrut spray should not be that good, I would keep it to the soil. One question, my filtration guys say that the venturi system has a huge pressure drop in the drip irrigation system, do you experience anything like that or your drips work fine ?

Hi Mahesh, thanks for the suggestion. We are right now using Jeevamrutha in drip and Neem Oil spray using battery sprayer. Panchakavya once a month, with the battery sprayer again. Our farm is 3 acre - the length of our mainline is about 100feet and it works fine. Venturi does work fine of for us and I don't see a major drop in pressure.

@@maheshpatil4628 Not sure about the motor, I think its below 5hp. Mine is a leased land and the borewell/motor is owned by my land lord. Likewise, am also a beginner. All the best to you :)...

How did you prepare bed

We did the raised bed using tractor - bed maker implant. Before doing that, we had to loosen the soil with 5 plough and rotavator
