According to Reb Brown, CBS ordered six episodes of Captain America to follow the tv movies. Once the network decided to go cancel-crazy, those plans (which also included crossovers with Hulk and Spidey) went up in smoke.

That was the whole charm of Superhero movies back then they weren't trying to be "realistic" or "serious" or "political" they were just fun, campy, action packed, colorful stories about the age old battle between good and evil and about ordinary people who gain superhuman powers or obtain high tech weaponry to fight crime, terrorism and/or the occasional alien invasion.

My Late Father Frankie Loved Wonder Woman (1973-1975) & The Incredible Hulk (1977-1981) so much that his old narrow minded ass didn't want to watch any film or television show after 1979 and I liked The Terminator, Rocky, RoboCop, Highlander, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon and Men In Black movies growing up I hated his mentality but I'm slowly becoming That to a small degree I'm still open minded and accepting anyway that's my story

I grew up watching Wonder Woman, Batman, The Adventures of Superman and The Incredible Hulk in reruns on TV (I never knew there was a live action Spiderman series and the only Captain America movie I saw was this direct-to-video film from 1990 that was produced by this low budget movie studio named "Cannon" that was famous for making Chuck Norris movies, the American Ninja movies, the live action Masters of the Universe movie and another superhero movie "The Punisher" starring Dolph Lundgren based on the Marvel Comics character.)
