This is a really brilliant tutorial and the earrings came out very nice - also great that you actually put them on too, rather than just showing them from a display card. I am watching these all through with my daughter as part of home education and we love your teaching style.

I wish I had seen your tutorials years ago when I started making jewelry. I have had many silversmithing classes but I have learned so so so much from your tutorials. Thank you.

I don't think I have ever seen (and I have watched a lot of you tube jewellery making videos) anyone lay down a more even hammer texture using that method. That was brilliant, your technique is excellent, thank you for sharing that. It will help me, and many others I'm sure, in the future with my efforts.

Where can I find these stencils? I really like the specific designs on them.

Thank you for this very helpful video! I’m just wondering, would 0.5mm sheet retain its shape? Or would it be easily bent?

How do you stop the metal from going darker ?
@makeitwithkim-jewellerysil31264 жыл бұрын
Most jewellery metals will tarnish over time. You can either just polish them with a cloth or your preferred polishing compound when needed or some people add a barrier such as renaissance wax or midas sealant. Kernowcraft sell both and will have details of the differences on their website.

Would this be the exact technique if using silver sheet instead?

Last video (copper earrings) I thought you used 0.4mm wire for the ear wires?
@kernowcraft4 жыл бұрын
Hi Dave, it would of been 0.8mm as that's the recommended size for ear wires - you may be thinking of the metal thickness! 😊
