12 Most Incredible Cars Finds That Cost A Lot Of Money

The price you pay for a car isn't necessarily an indication of how well you're going to look after it. Some people buy a car for a couple of hundred dollars and look after it like their life depends on it. Other people spend more than a million dollars on a car and then leave it on the side of the road like a discarded piece of chewing gum. Some of the cars that have been abandoned or simply forgotten about over the years are totally amazing - as you're about to find out by watching this video!

My dad told me about 40 years ago of a car story. Years ago in Hollywood a guy bought a house with a large back yard and the weeds were high. Some people saw an old rusted convertible and asked if they could buy it for $100. The homeowner was glad to get rid of the old car for $100. What they pulled out of the weeds was Clark Table's Duesenberg . Captain Jim Lichty

The Curtis Wright hover cars seller stored the car in Elmwood Park, NJ. I had seen it many times not knowing what it was. Also explored the old Curtis Wright test lab, that is run down, ; in Wood Ridge! Many of older relatives and their friends worked there during WW II. Some have certificates from the departments they worked in, while others have pistons or some mechanical pieces.

The video clips you showed of the circle door Rolls Royce weren't of that car but a CG rendering of a modernized version of it. Pretty easy to tell the two apart if you look. The actual car is incredible to see in real life.

Yes. I saw the car before restoration at Petersen's when they had a guy over in England doing research. The next time I saw it was an Art Center College of Design car show in Pasadena, all restored. It's worth looking it up to see what the real thing looks like. Apparently only one of two Rolls Royce cars with a slanted front grill.

About 15 years ago while building homes in a older community...I would always pass this one house sitting on 3 acres with a barn. Under the roof in front of the door to the house was a 1928 Willys Knight. It was being used for storage...boxes caving in the canvas roof. At the barn was a 1965 Chevelle...same thing...being used for storage. From what I was told the fella had about 30 cars on the property according to the city, because they had to go on the property from time to time. I went to the door and asked if the Willys Knight was for sale...the wife said $9k....the husband was a bit eccentric and had once chased someone off his property with a shotgun...I would always wave to him to be friendly..I should have bought it. I needed restoration though. And this property is in Sunrise Florida...of all places.

The Round Door Rolls is a beautiful car but.....pretty much un-drive-able. Underneath the one-of-a-kind exterior, it is still a '29 Rolls and drives like a 93 year old vehicle. For years it sat in the basement of the museum but upon reopening, received a coveted spot just inside the front doors of the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.

I don't think that's the case, as there were two mustangs used in the movie. One for stunts and one for regular driving and if he had damaged one, then the support crew would have to create matching damage to the other Mustang for the sake of continuity. I doubt they'd let him customize the car like that. The only car that took real damage that I recall is the stunt car during the iconic chase.

In regards to the 100+ vehicles stored on the property: You appear to question the owner's sanity for not taking the time/money to restore any of the vehicles when ordered. Having recently become involved in legal actions in regards to my property I know what makes "sense" to the general public. IN reality there is only so much money and time and there always seems to be something in the background the public does not see. In my case it was my health and trying to keep up with the demands by the city/court in regards to my property. In other words I have to make a choice, make my vehicles drivable or lose everything I own. Ever try to sleep outside in the cold with out any belongings? But at the same time "maybe" things will turn around and I will recover my finances and health? What choice do you make, IF you are given the time to think things through. Some people place historical value over what you can get at a junk yard.

The GM EV-1 was a beta test. The cars were never meant to be sold. They were leased to the public for testing purposes, when the test was finished they were scrapped. This was to avoid any legal liability for possible accidents, and for demand for service, parts, and repairs. The lessons learned from the test were applied to later GM electric vehicles like the Volt and the Bolt. These were fully developed cars meant for sale to the public.

My 101 yr old Aunt who still drives a new Mercedes convertible, has 4 mint condition all original cars in her 8 car garage. My uncle died in 1969 and he was a collector. There is a 1956 Corvette, cream w/red leather interior with 350 miles on it ( not a typo) A 1927 Mercedes Limousine ( all original) with @13k miles on it. A never registered 1955 Thunderbird coupe with 22 miles on it. And another very old turn of the century steam powered buggy. My uncle used to give us rides in it when we were little. I don’t know the brand but it’s very cool. It has a stick type steering system and what looks like a flat carriage type body with two bench seats. Lots and lots of shiny brass bits and bobbles on it. They have not been driven or moved since 1969 and are in a heated garage. Last time I saw them all there was so much dust on them the colors couldn’t be seen. What a shame they just sit there. She WILL NOT SELL THEM AT ANY PRICE!! She is loaded and doesn’t need the money. I imagine they are worth a lot of money. I hope she donates them to a car Museum for everyone to enjoy. I love these videos about rare car finds because I know exactly how it happens that they end up parked forever. Peace✌🏻🇺🇸
