Lexus NX
When it comes to reliability, Toyota, and by default, Lexus, are king of reliability, and the 2024 Lexus NX is no exception. The NX is a small luxury SUV that’s got a little something for everyone, starting with an affordably priced entry-level model, and all the way up to a turbocharged sporty version or a hybrid with great fuel economy. There are 4 main versions of the NX, known as the NX250, NX350, NX350h and NX450h+. The base model is a naturally-aspirated 2.5-liter inline-four making 203 horsepower; it’s also the only front-wheel drive version from the range. The others are exclusively all-wheel drive.
The NX350 makes 275hp thanks to a 2.4-liter four-cylinder, while the NX350h generates 240 hp from the same base 2.5-liter four-cylinder, but this time paired with a hybrid system. The NX450h+ is the most powerful of the group, mating the 2.5-liter four-cylinder with a bigger electric motor and a large battery pack, enabling 304 hp and an EPA-estimated 37 miles of electric-only range. The NX350 can hit 60 mph from a standstill in about 6.6 seconds, completing the quarter mile in 15 seconds, at 95 mph. Emergency braking from 60 mph happens in less than 117 feet, which is better than the average of its class. Moreover, the NX brakes are smooth and reliable on the road, giving you confidence in the car.
