BIBLE ALONE people and you sure as hell wont see prayers to Mary, rosaries, candles, blessed images in the bible (anyone even bother to remember the 2nd commandment?)

However, in parts of the world where Hinduism is the dominant religion, thus meaning Hinduism has had a great influence upon the culture, then we witness peoples expression of their Christianity being influenced by their cultural norm, such as in the case of this video, where Hindu culture is sadly influenicing someones expresion of faith. If God in Exodus 20:4-6 meant you can’t make anything in heaven then why would he instruct them to 5 chapters later to make angles that would be a contradiction obviously he didn’t mean you couldn’t make an image of anyone in heaven. In Joshua 7:6 people bowed to the ark of the Lord. The same ark that had statues of angles in heaven.

We've moved four times and had our homes blessed each time. We too have a crucifix in every room - at all the entrances and over every bed. I love that you display the image of Divine Mercy. My mother taught us the importance of that thirty years ago, only recently have I seen it displayed in churches. I have never heard of bringing the Bible outside and back into the house every month... everything else you spoke of we have. We also had a book of saints for children in the home I grew up in that my mother encouraged us to read. I had one for my children. They each had their favorite saints. I remember the priest who blessed the home we are in now saying it was important that we could be "convicted" of being Catholic just by someone walking into our home. God bless you for sharing and encouraging Catholics to be "convicted".

One practical point. If you are in a situation where you don't have a lot of space for a home altar, you can still hang images of our Lord and His Blessed Mother on the wall. This is a lot better than nothing if you are in a dorm room, for example.

Thank you for the very good info. I, too, live in a town house, and use the mantle over the fireplace and the wall behind it as my altar. I also have a small Holy Water font near my front door. I attend a TLM (Traditional Latin Mass) church and, every year, around Epiphany, they have a special Mass to bless the Epiphany water- We are allowed to bring up to one gallon and set it near the altar.

4:13 blessed palms are very common in the Philippines we call it palaspas but they're bigger and have designs tho like 12 inches+ it's used in palm sunday. It's then burned the day before ash Wednesday just like you said, sometimes they have pictures of saints and jesus

See i am no one to correct, no one to judge. But see our Church is not a Bible reading church. Because of this many are not believer, they are lack of Word of God, very low in Bible, cant even open Bible, dont know which verse is written in where, they are just sunday christians. I got these oils at few pilgrimage places we went, or else just take some coconut oil tot he priest to get blessed.🙂
