I’ve been diving in to all his sermons for a while now and I love his knowledge. What sells me though is what he speaks of at the end… where is your heart. It’s refreshing to see a leader like this speak with a beautiful combination of knowledge, passion for truth, and most of all, humility.

So in addition to the history lesson, thank you for the practical application.

I must admit..you NEVER disappoint. I never knew who Peter Waldo was..and I'll be honest..I wouldn't have watched the video had I not have seen "the crusades" in the picture, and I'm really "fuzzy" on that subject. I mean it's one of those where you know the knights w/crosses, Jerusalem.. something or another..but never REALLY understand it fully..this really was fascinating, and inspiring. The ONLY time I'm disappointed...is when I study the interlinear bible and you DONT have a video for a subject or passage when I get stuck! 😉😁 I've been studying most of my life and you BY FAR..are THE BEST teacher on BOTH SCRIPTURE AND HISTORY..that ever existed in this millennium perhaps...big words I know..but even the quote "best"..don't even come close to the lifetime of PAINSTAKING research just to "get" the subject down enough in your head to just UNDERSTAND and speak without notes..let alone teach a well organized curriculum....man.. there's just nothing like it..I've watched MANY of your videos..yet..still have more to go..and I watch many MULTIPLE times...as I can't possibly remember it all..I just don't know how you do it....well... maybe I do. Simply. Amazing.

@@GoreBruce You're welcome. Im flattered for even a reply because you're like a "celebrity" to me. I have a quick question while we're at it (different topic altogether). I LOVE your look on Revelation..I've studied it many times along with Daniel..and I was definitely on the 65 year bandwagon yet based on Polycarp?..said 14 years after Nero John to Patmos 84?..and I've been doing some research on my own and have you possibly also considered the Bar Kokhba revolt (they took him as the Messiah and I forget if it's Eusebius that wrote of him like an egotistical murderer thief kinda thing) and the Jews being banished under Hadrian, the land being burned by the Roman "scorched earth" military technique Israel changed to Palestine..statue of Jupiter on the Temple mount..only "the meek" remained...Etc?.. I STILL feel that your view is 100% correct..but maybe it could be both as (I'm still researching) the "was, is, will be" wordage and "two edged sword"..or could it be possible that Polycarp didn't REALLY know John as he could have just been an avid student of writing.. and the years being off because the Gregorian calendar 1500 and every 6 years back loses a year thing?..(boy I'm scattered, but I'm about to start work. Lol)..but you get the idea....thanks and sorry for the mess here..😉😁

@@rickmiller8893 Hey Rick, it seems to me the 135 a.d. revolt was something like the final proof for all history that the judgment of Jerusalem was complete. The prophet spoken of was not to come from among the Jews themselves, but from among their brothers, i.e. the Ishmaelites. Muhammad, a descendant of Ishmael, is indeed this prophet. Also, Isaiah 42:1-13 speaks of the servant of God, His “chosen one” and “messenger” who will bring down a law.

Did the waldenses keep the Saturday sabbath ? Where can I find info ?
@GoreBruce6 жыл бұрын
Best evidence is that the early Waldensians observed a Saturday Sabbath, but I'm not readily aware of resources on the point. The fact that the Waldensian movement was later widely embraced by the Protestant Reformers and vice versa suggests the practice was not central to their faith agenda. Others, and especially 7th Day Adventists, may dispute this, of course.

@GoreBruce I know this is older post but I’ve found a lot of conflicting data and wondered if you have thoughts on people like Claudius of Turin who lived somewhat in the same area as Waldo but possibly planted the seeds of similar dissent from RCC a few centuries earlier. I see that NW Italy/ Sw France area in general being identified as one that could be identified by many efforts to ‘return to scripture’ ,,,some more successful and ‘accurate’ than others.

Plus the waldensians once able to return to Italy by the Savoia Italian monarchy because having had diplomatic pressures from protestant gouverments like Holland and UK managed to preserve their identity in certain valleys in the Italian region of Piemonte close to France. Those valleys for many years were some kind of ghettos with always a romantic catholic church not to far from them build to keep an eye on them . For decades they survived receiving financial aid from. Dutch, English , German, Hungarian, Swiss and American churches and slowly acquired full legal rights as citizens that were than some how temporarily restricted during second war under Mussolini just like the Jewish and any other group not been Roman catholic and as a consequence not been considered by Mussolini the official Italian religion

I would like to also add, aside from the existing Waldensian Churchs which were mentioned in Northern Italy, Piedmont region, there have been emigrations to South America where several Waldensian churches are located, most of the Southern Italy colonies were forced into bloody conversion, and any vestiges of the history are small historical museums that are aimed at maintaining the history, and known genealogy of the descendants. I am "of the blood" and currently inspired to help share the history and genealogy research I have turned up.

Jesus Christ was called son of God as metaphor , because he doesn't have physical father , but to call Jesus Christ GOD that is Great Blasphemy ! Non of his Apostles called Jesus Christ a GOD even Apostle Paul didn't call Jesus Christ GOD ! What they were saying is : The GOD the Father and the son the Lord Jesus the Messiah ( Christ ) . The word Lord doesn't mean GOD !!! And in Hebrew language the word Lord has nothing to do with the meaning of the word GOD !!!

It is very clear in the Acts of the Holy Apostles what the original followers of Jesus the Christs of the Israelites were believing . The important thing in the believe was to accept Jesus/Yeshuah as the real promised Christ/Messiah/Mashiah of the Israelites as real prophet as real Messiah ! So all Muslims the followers of the Prophet Muhammad accepted Jesus Christ as the Great Prophet and as the real Messiah of the Israelites ! All infusions in the pure teachings of Jesus Christ after the Nicean Council in 325 forced by the power of Emperor Constantine is nothing , but a total corruption of the teachings of Jesus Christs. So any Christian doctrine after the year 325 is 100% false !

The Gospel of Mark probably dates from c. AD 66-70, Matthew and Luke around AD 85-90, and John AD 90-110. Why these four Gospels were written so late ? Why the Disciples of Jesus Christ should write the Gospel in Greek language? Jesus Christ came first to the Israelites not to the Pagan Hellenic people ! So the Original Gospel must be in Aramaic or in Hebrew ! The Original Gospel should be written in 33 AD why these four Gospels were written so late and the belief of the Christians of all Christian doctrines are based on those four Gospels written in Greek language.
@khalilkhalil10008 ай бұрын
Jesus Christ his real name in Hebrew is: YESHUAH MASHIACH ! ALLAH chose Jesus Christ for that what he did in this world before the physical universe was created the SPIRIT OF JESUS CHRIST WAS CREATED AND ALL SPIRITS WERE CREATED OUR HUMAN SPIRITS AS WELL BILLIONS OF YEARS AGO AT THE PLACE CALLED QALU BALA . IN ISLAM ONLY THIS IS VERY WELL EXPLAINED ! THE PHYSICAL UNIVERSE WAS NOT CREATED YET ! ALLAH GAVE TO THE SPIRIT OF JESUS CHRIST THIS DUTY TO BE THAT IN THE FUTURE BILLIONS OF YEARS AHEAD ! THE WORD THE SON OF GOD IS A METAPHOR , BECAUSE JESUS CHRIST DOESN'T HAVE PHYSICAL FATHER ! ALLAH IS NOT A MEN NOT A WOMAN ALLAH DOESN'T NEED A GENDER ALLAH IS ABOVE THAT HIS ANGELS ARE ABOVE THAT ! THE GENDER IS NECESSARY ONLY FOR THE ANIMALS,HUMANS, JINNS , ETC. ! SO MUSLIMS REALIZING THIS THEY DON'T CALL JESUS CHRIST LITERALLY THE SON OF GOD/ALLAH , BECAUSE SUCH A BELIEF TO ACCEPT THIS LITERALLY IS A PAGAN BELIEF ! That's why Jesus Christ said : I AM BEFORE ABRAHAM WAS !
@khalilkhalil10008 ай бұрын
First Epistle of the Apostle Paul to the Corinthians . Paul is very clear that Jesus Christ is not God , but a servant of God/Allah . Chapter 15 Verses 24:28 !!! 24 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27 For he “has put everything under his feet.”[a] Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. 28 When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

They are very much alive and organised in Italy (my country) and very strong in some admittedly small areas, notably the so called Waldensian Valleys of Piedmont.
