I just want to clarify the first tip: You don't have to wait any time at all at the end of the alert to replenish your nanites. The end of alert automatically gets everyone back to 750. The actual good tip would be to spend all your ressources and go crazy during the last minutes of an alert, because you will go back to full anyway!
@ZealousVidya2 жыл бұрын
ah I guess they changed that!

@@ZealousVidya maybe dont make a video before doing your research it also only worked like that when the faction won the alert the ones that lose the alert get 0 every minute they stay

(a) When using Safefall Implant, it will have you take less ramming damage from vehicles as Infantry or MAX Unit as well as the expected reduced fall damage. Helpful if your getting rammed by Harrassors or ESF when standing in the open too much (b) When starting or stopping overloading of Generators, you only got to click 'E' and stay close to it rather than holding 'E'. On that note while fixing the overload, as long as your close enough and have started the interaction, you can turn around and defend yourself at the same time

So it's been about 2 or 3 years back in 2019-2020. I was probably at the prime of playing PlanetSide 2. I had gone from complete crap to a pretty decent player over the course of a year playing daily. Well it's been about 2 years and I hopped on the other day and I am complete crap once again. All the situational awareness all of the tips. All of the things that I learned the muscle memory, the just basic tactics that get shoved into your brain from playing daily and from dying over and over again I completely forgot. However, I remember when I stopped playing I had gone over to call of duty on my PC and I was immediately really good because of how hard planetside 2 is. And now I'm coming back and each faction. I have tons of stuff that I forgot that I bought all these crazy guns. Everything that you need for construction each damn item. All of these guns I wanted for each Faction and each Role. And now I can't remember a damn thing. And I'm tryin really hard to get back into it. Because I have some of the greatest battle footage I have ever seen during some of those months. Helppppo

Thanks for these videos, as a new player I learn things that even the most seasoned player doesn't know about or forgot about! One thing that would be cool (and more work on your end) is to actually demonstrate some of the tips you're talking about in the video that's playing. When you talk about certain tips, I can kinda picture what you mean, but it'd be alot more helpful if you showed it!
@ZealousVidya2 жыл бұрын
Agreed, I would love to do that in terms of video quality. Problem is it would take 2x more time and personally this is a fun hobby; I mainly do this stuff because I like talking about ideas and the game. I don't want to make this into a 'professional' thing, especially around such a niche game.

There's another one that can be gamebreaking , I was doing it solo. If you die as a max you can quickly change continents / go VR and you are still a max . Go back on the continent and your max is alive . This can be useful by doing max crashes as a team with a gal , one after another
@skyezblue31362 жыл бұрын
But isn't this is kinda useless cuz you'll be spawn at starter gate?or you'll spawn at the place you died?

during low pop times when half the continent is neutral you can hack those terminals to your side and pull vehicle, you cant map pull tho but you can pull off a good flank doing that
@stephenscordato43212 жыл бұрын
With recon darts on the Hunter, you can levitate vehicles out of impossibly stuck places or get (with patience) a sunderer or other vehicle where you wouldn't normally be able to. GSD has weird interactions with ramming, especially sunderer/ant VS lightning. Sometimes people get stuck to you. Spamming left and right click with the Showdown makes it shoot faster than just mouse 1. The AMP station & GSD thing is a touchy subject, supposedly it can get you permabanned? I'm quoting hearsay on that one. Everyone does it. The ANT can glide across an entire map. Decoy grenades serve multiple functions and you can still get kills with them.

You showed a pretty fun tip at ~ 6:05 that you didn't discuss: Standing on the thin ledge at the top of a door, and watching the map to see if anyone was capturing the point.

Wow, there are actually some interesting tips I've never heard about (like the Amerish bridge/shield diffuser thing, or the zero fall damage thing). I'm so used to other low effort YTers doing garbage lists like "number 3: pick the correct loadout for engagement" and other "brush your teeth before bed" kind of nonsense I wasn't expecting useful stuff from a "tips" video
@rylandrc2 жыл бұрын
Another tip to mention in a future vid. I think there are ways to rapidly jump to get on top of certain structures/buildings? I think I've heard streamers talk about it before.

I use the hack through wallls trick, on Indar i think theres a base on the left or right lane you can do it on a terminal in a room from the outside and even pull sundy

You can enter vehicles through exterior walls. Great for maxes...drive close to walls and friendlies can warp through the walls. No need for doors

For the first tip: Firstly, it's been changed. Secondly, if you *lose* an alert, you got 0 nanites by staying on the continent after hours so this would be actively harmful to try and do if you lost the alert but want to get nanites back.

on the point of pulling vehicles from the map, one of the most annoying things you can do to another faction is hack their terminals to force them to actually spawn and rehack them. it may not win you the alert, but it will delay their vehicle pulls by 30-40 seconds.

Whilst in a ESF Dogfight, alternate acend and decent during engagement to throw off enemy aim, can also roll when doing this a little to change up a bit more. But don't over do it to the point of throwing off your own aim too much
